This is why a tragedy like this can never happen in Texas, because one of the many armed personnel in the school would pull out their own gun and eliminate the threat.

The free course for Texas educators began as an idea of Dalworthington Gardens Police Chief Bill Waybourn in November. Waybourn hoped to start a business teaching a licensing class for concealed weapons with slain Navy SEAL sniper Chris Kyle.

Chief Waybourn said Chris Kyle came on board in mid-January following the Connecticut school shooting. Kyle, known as the military’s most lethal sniper, was killed in February at a gun range by a troubled fellow veteran.
