Mayor O'Brien's Spokesman, Phil Sherwood, disobeys the Laws we as citizens must obey!

Even though he committed only an infraction it is despicable when so called leaders at city hall can say "don't do as I do but do as I say."

Court Records indicated that Mr. Sherwood was arrested 1-16-2013 for operating an unregistered Vehicles and operating a MV with handheld telephone electronic device or texting with his pleading not guilty at the hearing and being [release from the custody of a friend].

The New Britain Superior Court has issued an infraction letter to Mr. Sherwood to appear at his next hearing on 5-9-2013 at 11 AM.

Editor's note:  Arrested persons are presumed innocent until and unless proven guilty in a court of law.

  1. Did the Herald's #1 crime reporter fail to report his arrest?

  2. Sherwood was not arrested. He received a ticket. There's a difference. He has been arrested before but for civil disobedience on union issues.

  3. Did the little commie creep dodge the taxes on the unregistered motor vehicle, like he taught his comrades on the city council to do?

  4. You can't get released from custody unless you've been taken into custody first, and your not normally taken into custody unless you've been arrested first.

  5. Daily on the Police blotter, one can see numerous citations for the same infractions/tickets received by Sherwood . C'mon Lisa Backus, how come this one didn't make the Herald?

Mr. Smith, did you send this to Don Stacom?

  7. I guess Sherwood finally ran into a cop who didn't know or maybe just didn't care who he was?

  8. My husband called the court today and confirmed there was no arrest and that Sherwood was never in custody. He was handed a citation with 2 infractions.

Too bad, would have loved to nail the punk.
