Fernando Marroquin-Saavedra, MD. has been hired to replace Phil Sherwood as
the Deputy Chief of Staff in the mayor's office. Some interesting questions
have surfaced about Dr. Marroquin-Saavedra's hiring. For example, why do the
public statements made to the local newspapers announcing the doctor's hiring
omit the surname "Saavedra" from his name? Is someone trying to hide something
like maybe possibly a connection to another person named Saavedra?
Additionally we have learned that Dr Marroquin-Saavedra worked for Grassroots Strategies Inc, a Hartford based community organizing activist group that happens to be located at 30 Arbor Street--the same building that houses CCAG--Phil Sherwood's former employer, and the Connecticut Working Families Party. If that is not enough of a coincidence, then consider this: According to the Secretary of State, Philip Sherwood with an address of City Hall Room 204, 27 West Main Street, New Britain, CT 06051, is listed as a current Board Member of Grassroots Strategies, Inc.
The fact that Dr. Marroquin-Saavedra worked for an organization that Phil Sherwood is involved in running gives the appearance that the doctor is a plant placed here by Sherwood to continue his radical agenda. Besides, if Sherwood was able to run the mayor by remote control while he was here in New Britain, then why can't he run the mayor's new Deputy Chief of Staff by long distance?
To bad no one is listening. The corruption in our government has to much of a hold and it won't change until the people wake up and pay attention.

On Christmas Eve 2012, Phil Sherwood's wish came true and Global Strategies was hired for $100,000 to help correct "misinformation" about New Britain's new "hot spots" ordinance, which punished owners of properties with unusually high numbers of calls for police service with unlawful fines.
ReplyDeleteThose of you reading this may wonder why this was a "wish" so let me provide you some background.
Upon becoming employed by the O'Lyin admin, Phil had many close relationships with Malloy's staff, especially Roy O. This close relationship allowed for Phil to orchestrate the entire landlord ordeal (why do you think some in the landlord group got a deal and others did not?) anyway, Phil cut a deal with Roy and GS. Phil delivered them a $100k PR contract and received a kickback for his help.
Talk about corruption but that isn't the full story.
Phil currently still owns his home on Commonwealth. With the New Hampshire primaries heating up, he moved to NH to better position his consulting firm that he helped launch with the kickback from GS. Not only is he running O'Brien's campaign from the back woods of NH but he is working on what I'm told is the foundational stages of Hillary Clinton's 2016 Presidential bid.
The Sherwood saga continues indefinitely. He still has vested interested in controlling NB from afar and he still owns his home which makes you wonder if Phil has plans to return?
