EDITORIAL:
Many
citizens are saying that the Mayor is afraid to meet his opponent Erin Stewart at
the Citizen Property Owners Association of New Britain.
This forum
would allow the attendees to ask whatever questions they chose to from each
candidate not like those questions that are monitored by the League of Women Voters and their sponsor, the New
Britain Herald.
I have
attended many of these, so called debates by the League of Women Voters, only
to watch my written question disposed of into the waste basket.
The CPOA is
a taxpayers organization that was started in 1924 and have interrogated many
prior mayors over the years with their questions.
Now Mayor
O'Brien, who refuses to attend, when he knows will be faced with questions such as
his extreme spending habits by his administration, and of course his bonding of
$70,000,000 of the taxpayers' dollars.
Since the
Mayor is opposed to answering or responding to questions by the members of this
long established "tax watch dog" the time has arrived for this organization
to respond to his rejection by voting
him out of office come November 2013.
Note: Mr. Smith is a Board member of the CPOA and serves as its treasurer.

O'brien is afraid of the CPOA, the CTPOA, the NBCJ and Frank Smith's blog. They are depending on the non-English speaking population who cannot understand all the bad they have done to vote them in. It's up to the Polish and Spanish speaking residents to get the word out. If not it really doesn't matter. Sad state of affairs in New Britain!
ReplyDeleteActually, most Polish residents speak two or three languages including English.
ReplyDeleteif he did agree, you would have to check him carefully for hidden ear pieces that would allow his handlers to send him the answers to all the questions he would be clueless about.
ReplyDeleteI would guess NO'Brien is terrified too many people will find out just how incompetent he really is!
ReplyDeleteWhen you bring absolutely nothing to the table, why would you agree to a debate?
