Mayor O'Brien's Strange Memory Lapse

In an article that appeared in the New Britain Herald dated September 11, 2009 written by James Craven, a former staff writer with the New Britain Herald entitled, " Political Smears against Mayor traced to state Capitol."   This article opened the Pandora's box where it was found that Greg Gerratana was the offender and admitted to Mr. Craven which was publicized.  Even our former State Representative, Tim "O'Brien chimed in by saying " I would call on both sides to stop the personal attacks."   Which resulted in the removal of Mr. Gerratana from his LOB job and ending his campaign for the New Britain Tax collector that year.
Now With Mayor O'Brien knowing all the adverse political history baggage of this individual, he has the extreme nerve, to add him to his current slate of candidates as the tax collector for the city of New Britain.

Lapse of memory??

  1. I would say no, he just doesn't care about this individual's past and supports him simply because he is a fellow radical extremist.

  3. At least the last time he ran for tax collector, he had the decency to withdraw from the race once his sleazy past was brought to light. I guess now you could say this Democratic ticket is the campaign of sleaze.

  8. RIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) — The head of the Connecticut Democratic Party has called on state Rep. Christina Ayala to resign following allegations she violated state election law.

The Connecticut Post reports that chairwoman Nancy DiNardo said the "wise course of action" would be for Ayala to step down.

Bridgeport Democratic Party Chairman Mario Testa also said Ayala should consider resigning.

A message was left with Ayala's legislative office early Friday morning.

The Connecticut Elections Enforcement Commission on Wednesday referred a case involving Ayala's alleged fraudulent voting to state prosecutors for a criminal investigation. House Speaker Brendan Sharkey removed Ayala from her committee assignments.

APPARENTLY THE SAME LAWS DON'T APPLY TO YOU WHEN YOU ARE A NEW BRITAIN COUNCIL MEMBER ELECTED BY THE PEOPLE OF NEW BRITAIN WHILE LIVING IN YOUR PARENTS' BERLIN POOL HOUSE AND YOUR MOTHER IS A MEMBER OF THE ELECTIONS ENFORCEMENT COMMISSION?
