The problem with the debate is that less and less people in New Britain are actually paying taxes and that is why there is such a financial problem. You now have more people riding in the wagon than you have pulling the wagon.
The Herald has effectively cut off any possibility of the Stewart Team communicating with the public: the Herald is prohibiting candidates from writing letters to the editor; the Herald showcases O'Brien in every edition and never has a piece about any candidate other than the edited pathetic profiles of candidates; the Herald publisher makes irresponsible and unprofessional comments in public about the Stewart Team. Today, an off day in news, the Herald showcases O'Brien with his two city employees that are being paid through a taxpayer sponsored deal with HRA. Un real and our Council members say nothing.

ReplyDeleteDon't forget the people who fell off the wagon
ReplyDeleteYou are absolutely right! And I really Like your wagon analogy!
ReplyDeleteNo big deal. O'Brien says he will win without campaigning.
