EDITORIAL:
“Tans” financial
report to the city’s common council membership recommendations in order to prevent
the state takeover of New Britain’s financial take over as occurred to
Waterbury and Bridgeport.
After hours
of questioning the president pro tem, Alderman Trueworhty, announced to alert
his Democratic followers that he was not going to vote for this as warning to
them how they should vote. Thank God
some Democrats ignored their leader’s nitice and the safety net was passed with.
His warning was followed with Aldermen
Platosz, DeFronzo and Trueworthy’s vote.
These three
should be remembered for not representing the best interest of the city, as
their Oath of office dictates, and should be removed from their office of
representing the city on the next election day.
They even
ignored the elimination of a bond for four million dollars for the repairing two
city swimming pools for which I recommend the Mayor’s being justified to
eradicate. Alderman Robert Smedley
effectively pointed out “ if we were given the pools repair for free we do not
have the money to operate them.”
I totally agree with a recent comment made by Alderman Lois
Salvio “What a scary thought
when one realizes that The President Pro Tem takes over as Mayor if the Mayor
is incapacitated.
Those three should be told to resign.
ReplyDeleteIf they do not resign then impeach them.
ReplyDeleteThese tree Alderman were in there supporting Obrien's inflated income side of the proposed budget and even some stated that the were very proud to vote for this proposed budget.
ReplyDeleteYES RESIGN. OR BE IMPEACHED.
I agree with the two prior commentators.
Frank: thanks for keeping us voters informed.

Frank Smith has left a new comment on your post "NBCJ Weekly Shenanigans":
ReplyDeleteAll Three should resign immediately for not representing the city's voters and taxpayers properly with their "TANS VOTE."
