The issue is
over the one time budget grant allocated to the school district by former Mayor
Timothy O’Brien for a sum of 4.6 million dollars.
The issue surfaced
when the Mayor’s office refused to give the school board 4.4 million dollars with the mayor claiming
the money should have gone into the grant fund account and not into the general
fund.
Local media
reported that the Mayor has attempted to set up a meeting with the officials of
the School Department but the report continues with Mr. Cooper stating he has
been summoned to the principal’s office but never a mayor’s office.
Well Erin
stick to your guns because if you give in it will cost the taxes payers over 9
mills rather than the 4.8 mills you have proposed.

Let them lay off teachers to make up for the $4.4 million. Who would even miss them?

ReplyDeleteHow can she stick to her guns when through her blanket support for anti-gun McKinney she is obviously against gun ownership, otherwise how could she support such a candidate who so blatantly stands for outlawing guns in Connecticut?
Talk about Polish reverse? The parking spaces on Chestnut Street are backwards. The spaces should face the opposite direction so the drivers can pull in at the same angle but do so with the traffic instead of opposite the traffic. This is the most ridiculous thing I have ever witnessed--parking spaces that go opposite the traffic so that you have to pull past them and then back into the space. Who is the brain surgeon who came up with this brilliant idea? Do the dumbbells in New Britain City Hall do anything that isn't totally upside down or backwards? Makes you wonder who is running things around here.
ReplyDelete"Use Head-Out Parking or Get Ticketed
If you park on Chestnut St. across from the New Britain Police Department (near Trinity on Main) it is important you park correctly. Those who do not park head-out will soon be getting tickets."
