EDITORIAL:
At a recent
DTC Meeting Commissioner Donald DeFronzo has announced that his son David has
no interest in running for the Mayor’s Seat however, the former Mayor has
expressed his interest in running for Mayor for the city of New Britain, since
he will be retired from his commissioner’s State Job.
He is a fun little bet, If Don wins we will all move out of the city, but if he loses he and his whole family must leave the state forever.
ReplyDeleteIt must mean that now he has juiced his state pension up to around 6 figures that he must have a way to get a huge pension from the city too.
ReplyDeleteCould the Democrats have found someone older? Maybe they should dust off Lucian!
ReplyDeleteI bet Defronzo's Bio will read like a rap sheet of all of his underhanded doings. I wonder if it starts where he refused to serve in the Military ?
ReplyDeleteThis is why Erin should not have raised taxes. Don Defronso is by the strongest candidate for the local whackjobs. He's probably the ONLY candidate that could have beat Tim Stewart when he was in his heyday.
ReplyDeleteAnd now he's running against someone less than half his age who just raised taxes and all the old-timers still for some ignorant reason still love Don. THe only chance Republicans would have had against someone like Don is if WE didn't raise taxes AND IT STILL WOULD HAVE BEEN A LONGSHOT
Defronzo has no chance. Not after what he, his party and SON have done to this city.
ReplyDeleteMayor Sewart only raised taxes after cutting spending to a record low budget with the democrat council approved for the tax increase because of Obrien's trainweck of two years.
ReplyDeleteSomeone has to pay for all that wild spending that went on under the O'Brien administration. $100,000 no bid no show contracts for crony consultants and $50,000 a year salaries for paid agitators in the mayor's office add up quickly.
ReplyDeleteWhen he was a state employee he was able to take leave from his state job for 4 years to be the mayor while still earning retirement credits from the state for the 4 years he was mayor. If he becomes mayor, can he take leave from the city and still earn retirement credits from the city while working at a state job?
ReplyDeleteHey kids. Mayor Erin E Stewart is doing an amazing job. Why don't you not run a mayor and just focus on council ?
ReplyDeleteI love the way a Dem (probably Sherwood) uses the word WE to imply he is a Republican. WE see right thru you!
ReplyDeleteI use to be on the town committee for the democrats and got 2 friends who still are on. They think Don D is going to run again and that is why he retired from the state thing.
ReplyDeleteAnd who is Dirty Don going to bring into his office ? Lets just say the short list could be, Joe Harper, Tim O'Brien, Phil Sherwood,Greg G or even Rick Lopes, because Don always take Rick where ever he goes. Oh what fun it would be to see their vacation photos.
ReplyDeleteHey old man"Why don't you post the story about the Republican School Board guy that was arrested for drunk driving I bet one million dollars had that been a Democrat you would have it all over the place asking for his resignation. What a bunch of hypocrites and double standard. Hey dude and stop bashing the President, smoke a cigarette!
ReplyDeleteIf that's who he will have with him in the Mayors office he will never get elected.
ReplyDeleteWhy hasn't Trueworthy or Sue B resigned yet ? Oh yeah because Dirty Don DeFronzo says they can stay because they are his puppets. That explains Adam P too
ReplyDeleteHow was it that when Trueworthy was ticketed for driving an unregistered car, following too close, and distracted driving that the ticket was made to simply disappear?

Where were the calls for Tercyak to resign when he was hauled away in handcuffs by the Hartford Police?
ReplyDeleteLets not draw a correlation between getting a moving violation and driving an unregistered car drunk and crashing it.
ReplyDeleteI hope Mr. Defronzo runs, he will beat the crap out of Miss Giggles!
ReplyDeleteThink about it..If no name Mama Gerratana can beat Papa Stewart than Papa DeFrozno will most assuredly beat Stewart Jr.

AH, one of the charges was "driving an unregistered vehicle" and since one of the other charges was "following too close" that usually means that the violator crashed into the rear end of another vehicle, and since the 3rd charge was "distracted driving" that usually means that the violator was yacking on his cell phone illegally, so if you put these facts together, it would appear that someone was likely to have been driving his unregistered car while illegally talking on a cell phone and plowed into the rear end of another vehicle, but since the case was made to disappear like magic, how will anyone ever know the truth?
Could the Dems find anyone older? I would guess that DeFronzo is old enough to be Ms. Stewart's great grandfather. Most people are reluctant to vote for someone old enough to be considered the walking dead.
ReplyDeleteAgain Mr. Frank Smith, where is the story about the Republican School Board Member? What a bunch of Republican hypocrites. Where Salvio, on this one? Is Davis, the Republican Secretary also? I wonder what minutes he will be taken on the next meeting? Is he the only Black man in this so call inclusive Party? Is Mr. Zemko black? Anyway, Mr. Defronzo, will be a great Candidate: The older the wiser. Atleast he has the experience not alike someone that has the father still running City Hall, while still getting big tax payers money as Chamber of Commerce, wink, wink.
ReplyDeleteDeFronzo and all the illegal deals he and his party have done will soon come to light. And the Chamber is not taxpayer funded.
ReplyDeleteWhy bring up something and someone that has nothing to do with this post. It's about Dirty Don. But whatever did happen, didn't happen while using their position like Trueworthy or Sue B did. Get over it
ReplyDeleteWow, reach at straws much to spin ? Salvio, Zemko, Stewart then play the race card ? Grow up and put down the weed Chris C. Mike and Sue violated their office, by breaking the law while representing the city. Clear and simple. Arrest and fire them both. Also Don DeFronzo has no chance to win, however this will end his corrupt political payday !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the laugh NB democrats. You really sink to any low wont you ? But it's not working, try running a good candidate that represents the people not a party, oh wait that goes against what you really do. My bad.
ReplyDeleteThe Demonrats are dreaming if they think that some ancient old geezer is going to get elected mayor.
ReplyDeleteHey Dem-o-rats, does that kat have your tongue ?
