I have taken part in streetscape design meetings and spoken on behalf of businesses at various commission hearings and common council meetings.  As an attorney, my legal training includes analyzing and applying statutes and ordinances.  I have represented landlords and tenants in housing issues, prepared real estate closings and represented clients in a variety of legal areas. Over the past seven years, I have helped local residents through our firm's free legal seminars. The Democrats are Touting Greg Gerratana as being a former ward one city councilor and a candidate on the O'Brien slate as tax collector.

The Democrats must be reminded of their choice for Tax collector as being a former city councilor while he was living in his father's pool house in Berlin, Ct.  The Democrats should also be reminded the Greg issued vicious and slanderous attacks posted on local blogs against former Mayor Timothy Stewart.   The New Britain Herald investigator reporter decided to investigate into these attacks and was able to determined that the serial attacks came from state computers in the LOB.  He subsequently admitted to the Herald Reporter to these offenses.  He was immediately suspended of his post as Representative O'Brien's aid  and immediately resigned from his campaign for New Britain's tax collector because of the LOB scandal.    

Now in the 2013 The Democrats who have short memories have again selected Greg Gerratana to be their Tax Collector Candidate.

Many are asking what purified this tainted individual who had to resigned from his Candace for tax collector during the last election cycle due the LOB scandal?

Letter to the Editor

In America, the people have just been subjected to yet another “partial” shutdown to our federal government. Starting today this partisan action will affect many important aspects of our lives from employment and paying our armed forces to closing of our National Parks. It was a completely avoidable action but for the stubbornness of our elected officials in Washington, D.C.

I have just finished reading a recently published (2012) book called, “America The Beautiful.” This well written book could very well fit the description of a biographical, historical or autobiographical volume. The book was written by a medical doctor named  Ben Carson. Dr. Carson is an accomplished Neurosurgeon living on the east coast.

He and his brother grew up in poverty in Detroit and Boston with their mother. There was no father around to help provide for anything. This was an African American family living this kind of life, a life all too familiar in America today.

Dr. Carson has become a familiar presence on TV talk shows, in particular, language of the people( Americans in this case). He is a great speaker and as did Galileo, uses common American language to which anybody can relate, minus the profanity. He covers many aspects of different governments such as socialism and capitalism and spends a great deal of time examining the pros a cons of different types of governments. As for the U.S.A., it is here that he concentrates on the history of the development, evolution and also the devolution of our American system to where our country is today. Before going on, please read again my first paragraph.

It took a great deal of intelligence to develop the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution but more important, it took respect for one another for all involved and the willingness to discuss and compromise before coming up with the finished product. This is something that our mainstream media have shown to be completely lacking in our “competing” governing bodies today. Near the end of the book Dr. Carson writes, “ When the party [line] becomes more important than principle, we are in dire straits, for it reveals that our leaders are incapable or unwilling to think critically for themselves.”

If you examine what is going on in our governments, federal, state and local I believe you’ll agree that this is exactly where we as American citizens find ourselves today.

Alderman Allegly Threatens His tenant, a Republican Candidate, With Eviction

Alderman Adam Platosz alleged threats to his tenant for becoming a GOP candidate that is running against him in commonly known as his safe re-election district.

This information has been circulating around town for the past three weeks with everyone laughing about this issue and not caring for the adverse situation the tenant is facing.

Alleged claims have also surfaced that he has become a slumlord with many complaints being filed with city officials resulting with no resolve for the complainant.

 Could it be that this matter may have been squashed at city Hall by the Administration?

I leave further comments by awaiting for the local media to interview the tenant as the GOP  candidate before I expand any further on this matter.

CT-POA Statement to New Britain property Owners

ELECTION DAY IS NOVEMBER 5, 2013 CTPOA asks all New Britain rental property owner to make sure their tenants are registered to vote in this upcoming election. Further, we encourage everyone to vote for a Mayor who does not target private property owners and tenants as a revenue source.   No need to remind you what cost increases both landlords and tenants will face under Mayor O'Brien's Landlord Licensing Fee and his insane 911 Hot Spot Fee.   We must keep housing prices affordable in New Britain and there will be several upcoming events where you can have your tenants attend and register to vote.   For all New Britain residents and stakeholders, this needs to become an all out effort to keep housing affordable and every vote counts in any election. It is also important to tell new voters they don't have to vote for a specific party, but they should vote for the better candidate.  REMEMBER DEMOCRACY IS NOT A SPECTATOR SPORT!
