    Frank:
After reading the Friday Herald (5/1/09) here is reality: most people in NB do not get a newspaper at home or buy one. Some residents watch the Council meetings on Nutmeg TV the week after the meetings are held. The vast majority of NB voters don't know what is going on in the NB Common Council. If they did, they would vomit to think they had voted for this bunch of13 hapless Democrats. Most of the Dems are cluless as to what they are supposed to be doing. Some rarely show up to meetings - when they do show up, they are told how to vote by their "leaders."

And yet, John McNamara reports that they are part of next November's Democrat slate of candidates. They violate ethics rules; some don't pay their property taxes; some don't own any property so they pay no taxes; some register cars outside of NB or in someone else's name; yet, they control your taxes and they expect you to follow the laws that they don't.

If you vote for them again, you deserve them! Good luck!

Frank: So, as reported in the Courant, Chris Dodd and his buddy Cong. Murphy go to a Town Meeting in Northwest CT to talk with citizens. Usually, at a town meeting, people stand up and ask questions directly to speakers. Not this time. People were made to write their questions on cards and hand them in to a moderator. The moderator then screened the questions to make sure Chris and Chris got only softballs thrown at them. Dodd was asked no questions about his ethical lapses nor was Murphy.
When a newspaper reporter asked under FOI regulations to see all the question cards that were handed in the moderator said no and simply packed them up and left.

This is the Democratic way employed Dodd in the U.S.Senate, by Murphy, by State House Speaker Donovan, and by our NB Common Council Democrats - you know, the, ",,, it's none of your business" attitude when voters want to probe ethical lapses by their supposed representatives in government. Yes sir, That's "CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN."

  3. It's a shame that more people don't subscribe to the Herald...those that don't have no clue as to what's going on at City Hall. These same people have no interest in going to the Council Meetings or watch them on Nutmeg TV. Yet many of these same people wonder why things go wrong, and still vote for the incumbents that are making a mess of everything!

  5. One of the keys to socialism is keeping the truth from the public. that is why controlling the media is so important, that Obama proposed government buy outs of the failing newspapers so he would ultimately run the newspapers in this country even more so than he does now.

  6. “We’re going to be looking at budget problems and where the city is going,” McNamara said.

Hey, Mr Little Mac, the Lesser one, if you want to find budget problems, why don't you start by looking at all the money your socialist Democrats waist by taxing the "rich" to give our hard earned money to people they believe deserve it better than the people who worked hard for it?

And while you are looking for lost revenue, why don't you look at all the money your commie friend Catanzaro cost this city in lost revenue that was withheld by the federal government from badly needed programs because of his unethical conflicts of interest? How much money would the city get if Catzanzaro would just resign, and therefor eliminating the tripple, quadruple conflicts of interests??

How much revenue would we have if the rest of your socialist Democrats on the council just paid their property taxes like they expect the rest of us to do?

Maybe the change we need and the change we can believe in is new leadership for the party.

This communist approach is destroying our beloved city.

Maybe Frank Smith should be the new party chairman?

Now that would be change we all could believe in!

  9. Anonymous knows there are 49 Democratic Town Committee members, led by John McNamara..does he have the stats on the Republican Town Committee? The figures are about the same, led by Paul Carver.
The difference between McNamara and Carver? Carver doesn't have a "Wall of Shame" consisting of those who don't agree with him.

  10. Frank,
I guess this is why I may no long want to be called democrat anymore. I may think of switching from being a Democrat to an independent because of how the democrats in New Britain treated me and how the New Britain Democrat town committee treated me. The way the Democrat party is in New Britain and how they make you feel unwelcomed in the Democrat town committee. They don't even welcome anyone in their town committee meetings and don't even let them be included into the party. I think they've become nothing more than Republican stuck ups. I may end up leaving the Democrat party and vote independent because the Democrat town committee in New Britain is not inclusive and welcoming to anyone or everyone.
