That would certainly offer one possible explanation for his bazaar zealousness to appoint a known felon to manage $100 million in public money, wouldn't it?
What is sad is that people just don't seem to care.
The Democrats on the council have insinuated time and again that developers, investors and auditors are crooked and/or scamming the city of New Britain without proof. Yet when they are shown proof that a convicted tax evader is again named in a lawsuit they rally around and swear it was a simple mistake. A 350 million dollar oops.
I have to wonder why.
This is beyond partisan politics. When the dust settles who will be left holding the bag?
We all know it won't be John McNamara or Phil Sherwood or Mike Trueworthy or Paul Catanzaro.
It will be the tax payers. It will be you and I.
Thanks Phil hope everything works out for you (sarcasm).
Independent, don't forget the wild insults Sherwood launched at Tomasso and Manfort in a recent Herald article, making them both sound like something to be ashamed of, while at the same time downplaying the Colonial Realty scam as if it was no big deal. To listen to Sherwood's rhetoric, it makes it sound like so what, a couple of rich people lost a couple of dollars.
Besides, aren't we Democrats supposed to punish those rich people for having more than us anyway?

ReplyDeleteWho was it that originally said "follow the money!"
ReplyDeleteIf this is true, this person MUST come forward so we can have Sherwood removed Immediately
ReplyDeleteHow you gonna have him removed, the council would have to vote on it, and that's really going to happen!

It is very sad that the DEMOCRATS on our city council members just don't get it.
ReplyDeleteSo the tax payers are the ones to get royally screwed.
