  1. The only thing Blumenidiot understands is how to grow the government.

  2. Today I received a robo-call from the AFL-CIO. The caller ID indicated it was originating in Washington DC. The robot went on, and on, and on about how wonderful Blumenthal is, how he will do everything for organized labor, and how Linda is the enemy of unionized labor.

Less than an hour later, I received my mail. Among it was a full color glossy advertisement that looks like it must have cost a fortune to print. It was sent by the Connecticut AFL-CIO in Rocky Hill.

To sum it up, the mailer proclaims that Blumenthal is God's gift to unions, while it portrays Linda as basically being the devil to unions.

Just the fact that these unions are spending so much money opposing Linda and supporting Blumenthal as if he were the 2nd coming of Christ, has me wondering what the unions expect to gain at taxpayer expense if Blumenthal becomes our Senator.

This is enough for me to vote for Linda in the election!

  3. WE have read Connecticut economic studies that have shown that the current Connecticut minimum wage has prevented employers from hiring young people, thus leading to greater unemployment to 16 to 22 age group.

While the 50 States should decide and debate and set their minimum wage issue, the Feds should say out of the picture.

  4. I have watched Blumenthal's 2 1/2 minute response to how jobs are created several times, and I still can't figure out what his double talk means other than it appears that he believes it is the government's place to create jobs for the private sector.

  5. The reason most elected politicians won’t speak honestly about issue of Connecticut MINIMUM WAGE is that they know that most journalists – and after having spent years in the 4th Estate we know – that journalists come from a liberal and liberal arts backgrounds. People with common sense would have cringed if they had a chance to listen in at news meetings that we held twice a day at the daily newspaper where highly educated editors espoused their beliefs that all the claims about Global Warming are as proven as Darwin’s and that while newspapers could increase their rates, and God forbid that an insurance company do so. Al Gore was God and President Bush was the Devil as far as most of the editors and reporters of the 4th Estate felt.
