THE MAYOR'S CONSOLIDATION PLAN TOUTED BY O'BRIEN WITH THE CITY'S TAX NOTICES TO THE TAXPAYERS!

This plan was approved by the common council. With the earnest efforts of the council members they could have eliminated the mayor's office altogether thus eliminating the bright ideas his staff dreams up in order to make the citizens lives unbearable. FS

  1. Eliminating the dumbbells in the mayor's office would be a major accomplishment for the people who have to pay for all their nonsense.

Maybe his aide could put that up on the wall in one of her stick'ems so that they won't forget to eliminate their jobs?

  2. Frank:

Sooner or later the taxpayers of NB will suffer when the excrement hits the fan. An inept O'Brien-Sherwood administration, phased in revaluation - property assessments must have decreased in these times -, all the juicy early retirement incentives will have to be funded, additional police must be hired, union contracts must be honored, etc. I predict an additional ten (10) mills will be needed to fund all of this. Some believe it could be higher.

  3. Put radical zealots who never ran a business in charge and then everyone who is dumb enough to own property must pay and pay and pay. Since most Democrats own nothing, don't work and simply live off the taxes paid by the working class (Republicans) these total zeroes will no doubt get re-elected over and over by the freeloading Democrats who have no skin in the game since they don't work or pay one thin dime in taxes.

  4. How about a report on what it cost the taxpayers for the hundreds of man hours the police department invested in investigating a broken window at the mayor's house a couple of months back. Remember that story, the entire detective division was detailed for days to work solely on that incident as their top priority while murder and robbery cases were put aside because of a $50 window?

  6. Can someone tell me when the Common Council voted to change the charter to allow this ? There has to be a public hearing first then a charter revision to allow this to go forward. But in his rambling and praise to himself he said the council voted and approved his plan. Is this true, and if so when was that meeting and vote held ?

  7. When did we rename the city from New Britain to Dumbbells, Inc?
