  2. Do you think he remembered to pull his hand out of O'Brien's back before he left? Who is now going to make O'Brien dance?

  3. New Hampshire, also known as the libertarian state, is not going to welcome Sherwood's brand of left wing extremism, however their loss is New Britain's gain!

  4. Thank you Robin!

  5. Just as predicted; he caused a whirlwind of trouble and cost us taxpayers $MILLIONS$ in pork barrel project and vote buying schemes, and now he's gone.

Tim O'Brien will end up doing the same thing soon,, and will leave us tax payers on the hook for even more $$$$. He's already got us over the barrel for $70MILLION in new Bonding we will be paying on for the next 30 years. Who knows what the number will be by the time he's out.

In either case, these two miscreants are just using New Britain as a stepping stone in their political careers, and we are all idiots for letting them do it!

  6. The ship is sinking and the first rat to leave is....? Now it won't be the blind leading the blind. It'll just be the blind.

  7. Lest the taxpayers of New Britain and New Britain Democrats forget, it was primarily you voting Democrats that gave O'Brien and Sherwood a 13-2 super majority of Democrats on the Common Council to carry out their thieving tax and spend (bonding) schemes !!

  8. NEW BRITAIN - Phil Sherwood, Mayor's O'Brien's Deputy Chief of Staff, announced that he and his family are leaving New Britain and returning to New Hampshire where he and his wife grew up.

Mr.Sherwood had served as majority leader on the NB Common Council for a term and has been an influential political Democratic strategist in the city of New Britain.

Sherwood worked on numerous political campaigns over the past decade, served as a director of Pedro Segarra's mayoral campaign in Hartford, and previously was on the staff of the Connecticut Citizen Action Group (CCAG), a nonprofit advocacy group that says it promotes "social, economic, and environmental justice."

Sherwood said that his wife is able to transfer here job to New Hampshire but declined to discuss his immediate employment plans.

  11. I'll bet the New Hampshire State Police will be waiting to intercept that moving van, and turn it around, the moment it reaches the boarder!

  12. They're leaving alright.

With pockets full of New Britain taxpayers money!

  13. Today's headlines are all about the Hartford Police investigating the mayor's former chief of staff for alleged misuse of a city vehicle, but I didn't hear any news reports about New Britain Police investigating the former Deputy Chief of Staff for an alleged trip to New Hampshire in a city owned vehicle.

  14. So who is going to control the local newspaper now that the ghost editor is leaving, or will he continue to do so by remote control from New Hampshire?

  15. I guess that village in New Hampshire has found their idiot!

  16. Sherwood's continued diatribe in our local papers will disappear or will he ghost write his comments from New Hampshire?

    ReplyDelete
  17. the only question is who will step in to pull the mayor's strings as we know he is incapable of doing the job of mayor, or will it be done by remote control from New Hampshire?

  18. The Courant article today stated that Sherwood
s replacement will be hired before the end of the month. WHY ! Why is there a need for a replacement? to replace the biggest troublemaker in NB History? Why the waste of another $100 thousand.
By the way, by the end of which month?

  19. Don't they have plenty of Walmarts in New Hampshire for him to protest at?

    ReplyDelete
  20. Sherwood said he would stay on until the transition to his replacement is complete.

Is that because the mayor is too stupid to speak for himself without a puppet master?

  21. It'll be and even happier day when the voters send the carpetbagger mayor back to Manchester!

  22. SHERWOOD SAID: “It’s been a true honor to serve the city and Mayor O’Brien”

Oh really? It's been a horror for everyone else that has had to put up with your crapola!

  23. I think it is just a distraction: Watch the left hand and don't pay any attention to what the right hand is doing.

    ReplyDelete
  24. If Sherwood really leaves, who is going to be responsible for changing Tim Tim's diapers?

    ReplyDelete
  25. " Sherwood will stay on during the "transition?" What transition? For what work, how much will he be paid for this "work and out of which budget?"

Just another O'Brien scam? You bet! "

The newspaper reporters fell way short on their "reporting" about this fiasco.

  26. You are giving O'Brien too much credit to expect that he could think of a scam all by himself. I don't believe he could ever muster enough brainpower, so if it is a scam, it must be another liberal pulling his strings, and even then that liberal behind the scenes would probably have to do his speaking for him too.

  27. Sherwood's claim to be leaving New Britain sure seems to be a popular thought. Let's hope he keeps his word this time. Have you ever met anyone in town who had anything good to say about this guy?
