Arriving to
the Cracovia Restaurant today and noticing that Erin Stewart's election sign
had been taken down.
When asking why?
I was only told that Mayor O'Brien together
with his friend David demanded that the sign be taken down.
Would it not
have been more "palpable" if the Mayor had simply requested that his sign be
placed in another front window of the restaurant?

Just to show you how two-faced and hypocritical O'Brien is; O'Brien sees nothing wrong with a fun draiser in his honor being hosted recently at a building in the downtown area owned by a noted New Britain contributor to political campaigns. Of course, O'brien can't intimidate this business person.

ReplyDeleteWas it a "demand" or a "request" ? Usually a demand has a threat attached (implied or otherwise). Either way, it is terrible disappointing when city businesses or individuals are discouraged from being part of the political process.
ReplyDeleteThe dictator!
ReplyDeleteThese Polish people thought they were fleeing communism by coming to America. Little did they know they were going to end up being ruled by a communist regime here in New Britain.
ReplyDeleteThe fact Erin and Frank are talking lawn signs is a great indication that Team O'Brien has this locked up.
ReplyDeleteTo all the residents of Broad Street, welcome to communist New Britain.
ReplyDeleteDemocrats are delusional with their love of communism:

Too bad Oktoberfest was not a success...I hear volunteers are being asked to take less then the 5 percent they signed on for....as it was I hear organizations averaged $150.
ReplyDeletesorry to hear Oktoberfest was such a disaster, but then anything O'Brien touches is a dismal failure, so why should Oktoberfest be any different?
ReplyDeleteDid they recycle the food?
ReplyDelete14000 people coming to downtown New Britain? Hard to call that a failure.
ReplyDeletehow about what I hear is the inability to pay what was promised to the people who worked there or the loss of business to the businesses in the area that were forced to close for three days?
ReplyDeletewho pays for those things?
When everyone loses money it is a failure.
ReplyDelete14,000 people in NB is a bold faced lie! This guy didn't even contact the only German Club in NB to participate. WTF? He even had to pay all the bands including the Latin Band that was playing on Saturday prime time around 5pm. You've got to be kidding me? If it's Main Street USA then do a multi-cultural event that's not billed as a Oktoberfest.

I guess the drive by media doesn't want to talk about that nice $100,000 check O'Brien gave Occhigrosso's company to campaign for his illegal landlord fees, but then again its not his money, it yours he is so free with!
ReplyDeleteGovernor uses official residence for wedding of state contractor and political crony.
You'd be excused if you think Connecticut has returned to the dark Rowland years. You'd be wrong. It was last weekend and the governor with the bad judgment is that former crusader Dannel P. Malloy.
Last weekend, Malloy allowed use of the Prospect Avenue mansion in Hartford for state contractor, campaign guru, mouthpiece and former senior adviser Roy Occhiogrosso's wedding. Invitees were directed to send their reply to the governor's residence. This was the sort of mixing of state business, politics and personal relationships that Malloy and Occhiogrosso once decried. Now they glory in the cocktail of influence, business and moneymaking available to the powerful and connected.

I'm surprised even one person would publicly admit their support. Must have been a fellow whacked out left wing extremist.
I heard the only real issue for signs is that the Stewart campaign can't get them made fast enough to keep them in stock because it seems everyone wants one.
