Recent media interview held with Mayor Stewart where she has indicated selling some watershed parcels.

Some six months or so ago I had recommended doing the same in Burlington while recalling many years ago of being involved in building the bridge to “nowhere as it was referred too back then.”   During that construction project I couldn’t help noticing the mass amount of acreage being allowed to be idle that could be put to better use.
When making my suggested to sell that acreage I was immediately attacked by members of both parties indicating that was a wrong step to take by New Britain.
I tip my hat to Erin who is now contemplating doing just that in order to place New Britain’s financial crises back in order.
Although I do disagree with the leasing of our city’s parking facilities that she is also thinking to doing.
We all know that she is facing one of the hardest times, in our history as Mayor, and wish her the best in her finding the right solutions for the city we all love.

  1. The politicians should stop playing
    games with the Budget.There should
be a slight increase in taxes,
combined with layoffs and cut backs
of some projects and stop selling
of city's assets such as reservoirs
    parking spaces at the stadium.
Assets came to the city because
    politicians of years gone by
had the foresight and interest of
the city at heart. Not just RE-ELECTION
