The 5 & 1/2 hour recount of ballots for tax collector and Ward 4 Council affirmed the results of Tuesday’s election with Democrat Tobias Freeman winning the second seat in the ward that includes District 9, 12 and 13.

In the Tax Collector race, incumbent Republican Cheryl Blogoslawski edged out Democrat Todd Szabo.

Mark Bernacki put a great effort but had little or no support from Blint

I heard Blint went as far as to threaten one of the most popular candidates with not being on the town committee and never being able to run on the Republican ticket again, All this person did was try to give some advice to a candidate that did not want the advice.

This is second hand information but I was told is QUITE ACCURATE.

Erin Stewart did quite a good job for her first campaign. In fact she carried Blint.

The Republicans need someone like Pete Steele or Lou Salvio to guide the party.

Great idea! Pete Steele and Lou Salvio for RTC Chairmen. They really care about New Britain. Rumor has it that Blint got it because no one else wanted it.
