The Third Party Line Issue
FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
The New Britain City Council's, Ultra Liberals, Have Forced the Common Council to Become a Party In Seeking The Legislative Approval for Allowing the Third Party Line of The working Families Party to Not Require Obtaining Signatures Equal to 20% of The Last Election Turnout!
This mandate should never have occurred in the name of the New Britain City Common Council but this request should have been made by the individual candidates that appeared on the third Party line during the city's last election.
Unfortunately, the Council President Pro-Tempore, Alderman Michael Trueworthy, delivered a smashing victory for the infamous third party line confirming the third party candidates of their allegiance to Bertha Lewis president of the "WORKING FAMILIES PARTY".
I STRONLY URGE ALL INDEPENDANTS, REPUBLICANS,AND CONSERVITIVE DEMOCRATS TO CALL OR WRITE YOUR STATE REPRESENTATIVES AND SENATORS TO NOT ACCEPT THIS FORCED EXTORTION BY THE THIRD PARTY CANDIDATES INVOLVING OUR GREAT CITY TO APPEAR SOCIALISTIC SINCE BERTHA LEWIS WHO RECENTLY SPOKE TO YOUNG DEMOCRATS CLAIMING IT IS GOOD TO BE "SOCIALIST AS I AM".

Alderman Truewothy and The WFP Resolution
FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
It appears that President pro-tempore of the New Britain City Council, Alderman Michael Trueworhty, is attempting to deliver his allegiance to Bertha Lewis, the past president of infamous defunct Acorn organization and was and still is the current president of the of the Working Families Party line, with his attempting to get New Britain's name attached, via council resolution #5, allowing third party candidates without obtaining signatures equal to 20% of the last election turnout in order to obtain public financing.
He and his council democratic cohorts are surely attempting to carry out the unspoken promises to Bertha Lewis with this proposed resolution which is on tonight's council's agenda .

Was President Bush an Idiot?
If George W. Bush had been the first President to need a TelePrompTer installed to be able to get through a press conference, would you have laughed and said this is more proof of how he inept he is on his own and is really controlled by smarter men behind the scenes?
If George W. Bush had spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to take Laura Bush to a play in NYC, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had reduced your retirement plan's holdings of GM stock by 90% and given the unions a majority stake in GM, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had made a joke at the expense of the Special Olympics, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given Gordon Brown a set of inexpensive and incorrectly formatted DVDs, when Gordon Brown had given him a thoughtful and historically significant gift, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had given the Queen of England an iPod containing videos of his speeches, would you have thought this embarrassingly narcissistic and tacky?
If George W. Bush had bowed to the King of Saudi Arabia , would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had visited Austria and made reference to the nonexistent "Austrian language," would you have brushed it off as a minor slip?
If George W. Bush had filled his cabinet and circle of advisers with people who cannot seem to keep current in their income taxes, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had stated that there were 57 states in the United States , would you have said that he is clueless.
If George W. Bush would have flown all the way to Denmark to make a five minute speech about how the Olympics would benefit him walking out his front door in Texas , would you have thought he was a self important, conceited, egotistical jerk.
If George W. Bush had been so Spanish illiterate as to refer to "Cinco de Cuatro" in front of the Mexican ambassador when it was the 5Th of May (Cinco de Mayo), and continued to flub it when he tried again, would you have winced in embarrassment?
If George W. Bush had misspelled the word "advice" would you have hammered him for it for years like Dan Quayle and potatoes as proof of what a dunce he is?
If George W. Bush had burned 9,000 gallons of jet fuel to go plant a single tree on Earth Day, would you have concluded he's a hypocrite?
If George W. Bush's administration had okay ed Air Force One flying low over millions of people followed by a jet fighter in downtown Manhattan causing widespread panic, would you have wondered whether they actually get what happened on 9-11?
If George W. Bush had failed to send relief aid to flood victims throughout the Midwest with more people killed or made homeless than in New Orleans , would you want it made into a major ongoing political issue with claims of racism and incompetence?
If George W. Bush had created the position of 32 Czars who report directly to him, bypassing the House and Senate on much of what is happening in America , would you have approved.
If George W. Bush had ordered the firing of the CEO of a major corporation, even though he had no constitutional authority to do so, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had proposed to double the national debt, which had taken more than two centuries to accumulate, in one year, would you have approved?
If George W. Bush had then proposed to double the debt again within 10 years, would you have approved?
So, tell me again, what is it about Obama that makes him so brilliant and impressive? Can't think of anything? Don't worry. He's done all this in 9 months -- so you'll have three years and three months to come up with an answer.

Bertha Lewis Formerly of Acorn speaks to Young Democratic Socialists
Former ACORN head Bertha Lewis told a group of the Young Democratic Socialists on that they should "do everything [they] can" to build their organization, and then insisted that our times are worse than internment under the Japanese and the years of Jim Crow laws (h/t Morgan Richmond at BigGovernment):
Any of these groups that says, "I'm young, I'm Democratic, and I'm a socialist," is okay with me. You know that's no light thing to do -- to actually say, I'm a socialist. You've got to know, actually, we are living in a time that's going to dwarf the McCarthy era. We are living in a time that'll dwarf the internment era of internment during World War II. We are right now in a time that is going to dwarf the era of Jim Crow and segregation.
They are coming and they are coming after you, and they are going to be brutal and oppressive. They've already shown it. ... This is not rhetoric or hyperbole -- this is real. ... This tea party so-called movement -- a bowel-movement in my estimation -- and this blatant uncovering and ripping off the mask of racism...
Bertha's group lost its congressional funding after videos were released depicting actual ACORN workers offering advice on how to hide income from prostitution from the government as well as how to lie to get mortgages. This video demonstrates a contrast to rhetoric about alleged fear-mongering among Tea Party protesters. Read more here.

Majority Leader of the Common Council Agitates
FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
During the Standing Bonding Subcommittee meeting of the Common Council an unusual argument happened between the Council's Majority leader, Phil Sherwood, and a member of the Board of Education over the Bonding issue.
It seems that the Majority Leader expressed to that Board member that he wants to allocate more funding for the DiLoreto school project because he has two children in the school system and that his wife wants him to move out of town to a better school system. The board member immediately responded with " you are not in this for the overall representation of your constituents but for your own interest as an alderman."
I believe this carpet bagger's wife has it right and that he should move his family back to where they came from along with his agitator method of operation where his style will be unwelcomed.

State Senator Sam Caligiuri Candidate for the 5th. Congressional District
smith photo
State Senator Sam Caligiuri made an impressive plea before the Republican Town Committee for its support for his candidacy for the 5th. Congressional seat.
The senator cited that he is for fiscal responsibility, stop the spending beyond the budget income, end the ear mark system, and campaign finance reform.
He continued by citing his qualifications as the acting Mayor Of Waterbury, sixth term as Sate Senator and that he had voted against the 2007 budget against the tax and spend Democrats. He furthered his plea by stating that he is the only candidate that can win against Rep. Murphy in his own back yard of Litchfield, Waterbury, and Farmington because I have been elected by those voters and I am well known by them.

Dr. Kurtz Unfortunate public comments
FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:
Dr. Kurtz stated, in the New Britain Herald account on 5-6-10, "However, said the vast majority of Board members did not want contraceptives in the schools but the board cannot make a decision based only on the number of people who speak at a meeting".
it is amazing that this comment was made by Doctor Kurtz especially when Frank Smith Says NB listed 62 comments from concerned citizens and parents with their taken issue with Dr. Aram Ayalon's proposal to hand CONDOMS,BIRTH CONTOL PILLS,AND PROVIDE ABORTIONS, FOR THE STUDENTS NO MATTER WHAT AGE THEY MAY BE.

New Britain Community Organization March Meeting.
The meeting was held Wednesday evening at the Regency building's community room with the following issues evaluated by its membership:
First of all the invited guest speakers were among the missing as they were invited by the chair Mr. Richard Marzi.
Comments that the work under construction in New Britain such has the Police Station were being done by out of state workers was countered with the facts that the Contractor, Architect, and the Engineering firm were all from New Britain. And that any out of town subcontractors bidding for some of this work had to compete with local city sub contractors with their having a ten percent advantage provided for them by the city ordinance.
A considerable amount of time was spent for the evaluation of the concerns of the homeless during the in climate weather. The New Apartment Building with 21 units on Arch Street, currently under construction, primarily to help the homeless by providing this shelter temporally helping them get themselves oriented to move into permanent housing.
Paul Carver, a Current member of the New Britain Board of Education, discussed the addition for the Diloreto school for 10-12 school rooms subject to state bonding approvals.
Mr. Marzi informed the attendees that within the near future the NBCO will become associated with the CANBI.
The meeting concluded with its three sub-committees meeting covering The Board of Education , Housing, and political.
