False Promises by the Mayor:

JUST ANOTHER EMPTY PROMISE FROM MAYOR TIMOTHY STEWART:

After a petition was sent to the mayor’s office, the mayor then indicated to the Szczesny garage customers in writing that a solution would be found by August of 2008. After writing continued comments that the delay was still ongoing, there still is no apparent resolution planned.

As a last resort, I asked the city’s property Manager “the sixty four thousand dollar question” as to when the installation of the security cameras can be expected. Mr. Pelligrino’s immediate reply was that there are too many priorities before we can deal with that issue.

The city’s property manager seemed to be of the opinion that there are many priorities to the safety of the elderly residents, CCSU students, and other customers who use the garage.

Let’s not forget that video taping the ducks on Stanley Quarter pond was seen as one of these priorities.

Just goes to show you this idiot cares more about ducks than a bunch of old people or the hundreds of Central students that use this garage in the evening.

The mayor's promises unfortunatley turns out to be just plain " Bull Mess."

The Security Manager actions: Were they on his own or under the Mayor's orders?

Is the property Manager a spiteful man for ignoring the seniors needs like that?

Why would the Mayor ignor his promise like that?

The mayor has nothing but empty promises on most issues because he does nothing all day but play golf on city time. Wouldn't you all like to find a 6 figure job that pays you to hang around the country club all day?

This property manager works for the mayor, and the mayor obviously lacks any management responsibility to hold one of his subordinates accountable. What kind of horse droppings is that for the mayor to blame the lack of any response on someone he has direct control over? Perhaps it is time we found a mayor who has the management ability to hold his own employees accountable for performing the job that is delegated to them.

All the seniors, the Connecticut Bar Association employees, and the CCSU students that use that garage in the evening should take note of this situation and remember it at election time next year. It will be your turn to hold Tim Stewart accountable for his total inaction!

Boy do we need change in New Britain.

Off topic but wanted to point out the right wing hypocrites that blog here:

Infuriated About Tough CNN Interview, McCain Cancels Larry King Appearance»

Yesterday, Sen. John McCain’s (R-AZ) campaign spokesman Tucker Bounds appeared on CNN for an interview with Campbell Brown. Brown was tough on Bounds, refusing to let him spout typical campaign talking points. She repeatedly pressed him on Palin’s foreign policy experience and qualifications, asking him to name one decision that she made as commander-in-chief of the Alaskan National Guard. Bounds was unable to do so.

Today, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer revealed that because of that tough interview, the McCain campaign has canceled the senator’s appearance on Larry King Live tonight:

The McCain campaign said it believed that exchange was over the line and as a result the interview scheduled for Larry King Live with Sen. McCain was pulled. CNN does not believe that Campbell’s interview was over the line. We are committed to fair coverage of both sides of this historic election.

CNN also replayed the interview between Brown and Bounds. Watch Blitzer’s announcement and the interview:

The McCain campaign has repeatedly tried to intimidate the press. It is now angry about media coverage of Bristol Palin’s pregnancy, calling NBC’s reporting on it “irresponsible journalism.” Campaign staffers “even considered pulling out of one of the three presidential debates because it would be moderated by Tom Brokaw, a former NBC News anchorman.” When Newsweek wrote a cover story in May examining the hardball tactics conservatives might use in the general election, the McCain campaign “threatened to throw the magazine’s reporters off the campaign bus and airplane.”

You mean someone still watches CNN? I was interested in finding out who their last remaining viewer is. Fox News has more viewers than CNN and MSNBC combined, and then still has millions more left over. Fox News is the number one news network for more than 7 years running, so who cares what CNN thinks. Just goes to show you, the liberals are talking, but no one is listening.

the CNN story sounds a lot like the Obama campaign "punishing" an Orlando TV Station for questioning whether Biden's running mate is really a MARXIST SOCIALIST. Doesn't the truth really hurt!

Sounds like Stewart and Obama have a lot in common:
EMPTY PROMISES!!!!!!!!!!

Your are right when you say that Stewart delivers false promises.

If the Seniors have issues with security in their parking areas and get no satisfaction from the City, they should go to the Commission on Aging meetings and air their concerns there. The meetings are held the first Monday of the month at 1;00 p.m. at the New Britain Senior Center. Also, get as many residents from the Senior housing complexes to go to the Common Council meetings and bombard them with your stories.
