Crying Baby Number "Four"

As requested by my readers we are starting crying baby number "four"

Unfortunately, one of our council Alderman Louis Salvio (R) admiringly claimed he blew the whistle and HUD took the money away.

It originated with a complaint he filed with the Hud Agency claiming three Democratic Aldermen were in a conflict of interest regarding HRA agency and Federal Funding. When in reality two abstain from voting and the third was absent from attendance of the meeting in question.

HUD did investigate and cited two Republican Commissioners with a conflict of interest and withdrew a sum totaling $264,248 affecting eight of the city’s agencies.

With the onslaught of winter arriving Heat, Food, and children’s clothing are the priority for the poor in our city but the funds remain with HUD.

At the New Britain Council Meeting this past Wednesday two distinguished individual from The Spanish Speaking Center and The Salvation Army spoke of the need for food, winter clothing for the poor and heating. Unfortunately, they did not mention the large sum for this purpose is sitting at the HUD office in Hartford, Ct.

I am respectfully requesting that you devote the necessary time in order to have HUD release these extremely needed funds in order that our poor can survive this winter with sufficient food, heat, and clothing.
Sincerely,

CRY! CRY! CRY! Tears Shed In Indianapolis...

It's not Baby Louie having a crying jag but 375 Obama campaign workers are crying about their unpaid wages...

The Lines were long and tempers flared not to vote but to get paid for canvassing for Barack Obama in Indianapolis.

Several hundred people are still waiting and crying to get their pay for their last-minute Obama campaigning. Police were called to the Obama campaign office downtown Indianapolis to control the crowd. "I want my money today! It's my money. I want it right now!" yelled one former crying Obama campaign worker.

A former spokesman for the Obama campaign said 375 people were hired as part of the Vote Corps program and said people signed up to work three-hour shifts at a time.

Three hours of canvassing got workers a $30 pre-paid Visa card.
"Still that's not right. I'm disappointed. I'm glad for the president, but I'm disappointed in this system," said Diane Jefferson, temporary campaign worker. "It should have been $480. It's $230," said Imani Sankofa.

"They gave us $10 an hour. So we added it. I added up all the hours so it was supposed to be at least $120. All I get is $90," said Charles Martin. "I worked nine hours a day for 4 days and got paid half of what I should have earned," said Randall Waldon with tears in her eyes - I want my money - the $120 dollars I worked for!

The latest story is that the Obama campaign is paying everyone with prepaid credit cards to avoid declaring the income and their need to pay income taxes on the income, isn't that tax evasion??

Apparently the tax code only applies to Republicans.

JOBS! JOBS! JOBS! The unemployment rate 6.3 percent...

A vicious cycle of vanishing jobs and stresses on American consumers is spelling deeper trouble for the already sinking U.S. economy.

All the economy's woes - a housing collapse, mounting foreclosures, hard-to-get credit and financial market upheaval - will confront President-elect Obama when he assumes office early next year.

Obama has shifted from campaign mode to the task of building a new Democratic administration. A top priority will be quickly assembling his economics team, including the secretaries of Treasury, Commerce and Labor.

On the crucial jobs front, the situation is likely to move from bad to worse next year.

Employers have slashed jobs in the first nine months of this year. A staggering 760,000 losses have been racked up so far. And more are expected.

The government's monthly jobs report is due out today Friday,11/07/08 and net job losses for October are expected to total about 200,000. The unemployment rate, now 6.1 percent, is expected to rise to 6.3 percent.

Could it be that the network has lost all credibility and no one belives them after their acting as the PR wing for the Democrat Party and The Obama Messiah?

Obama was big on CHANGE. So far his appointments have been former member of Clinton's white house. CHANGE? I think not.

Obama slogan was : change... but actually he's bringing the country back to "Clinton Era" in offering some key jobs to former Clinton's staff.

Change? Change back to the failed Carter-Clinton Era, Remeber how high umemployment was and how high mortgage rates were?

John Kerry as Secretary of State? What a joke.

Frank Smith it's a fact that Lou Salvio is responsible for the more than 120 property foreclosures in the city of New Britain since the beginning of this year - 2008.

That Mr. Salvio voted against the Trueworthy Foreclosure Aid Funds, and that it has gotten so bad here in New Britain that at a recent meeting of landlords and city officials, several landlords stated that they were unable to find good tenants, and that made them unable to make their own mortgage payments.

BRISTOL — With orders declining in the troubled economy, Theis Precision Steel Corporation is eliminating its third shift and laying off nearly 30 percent of its union work force, a company executive said Thursday.

“The people are scared. There’s layoffs all over this country,” said Henry Raymond, a union steward at Theis Precision Steel Corporation.

Raymond stated “Everybody’s on edge. It’s very hard. The company’s in a bind. The union’s in a bind. We pray that it’s only temporary.”

NBC is failing because the American public are abandoning them for their far left liberal spin on everything. If that were not true, then how could Fox News have a larger share of the audience then CNN and MSNBC combined?

The only way to shut this cry baby up will be to hand him the same fate his good buddy Bozek just received and vote him out of office in the next election. Cry you jerk while you still can because we got rid of Bozek and now your election is next. I already know a number of people who are willing to volunteer for your opponent, whomsoever that may be because all they seem to care is that it is a vote against Salvio, so you might as well enjoy all your power being in charge of the council, because you are about as popular in this city as George Bush and as welcome as a good bout of diarrhea. The public spoke loud and clear this week about the Republicans and we are going to keep speaking next November, so I hope the mayor is paying attention too!

At his “changeover” site, Barack Obama has announced a plan to draft Americans to perform “community service.”

The Obama Administration will call on Americans to volunteer and serve in order to meet the nation’s challenges.

President-Elect Obama will expand national service programs like AmeriCorps and Peace Corps and will create a new Classroom Corps to help teachers in underserved schools, as well as a new Health Corps, Clean Energy Corps, and Veterans Corps.

Obama will call on citizens of all ages to serve America without compensation, by developing a plan to require 50 hours of community service in middle school and high school and 100 hours of community service in college every year.

Obama will encourage retiring Americans to serve by improving programs available for individuals over age 55, while at the same time promoting youth programs such as Youth Build and Head Start.

We will have Four huge new federal bureaucracies, and a draft to boot.

Cry baby Louie all you want. If the people have their way, maybe we could have a clean sweep and be rid of you and the mayor at the same time next year. George Bush #1 and George Bush #2 of New Britain, both of you with the same tired and failed Republican policies. Keep running your fat mouth Louie and you are just helping us elect a replacement for the mayor at the same time!!!

Now that Bozek has lost yest another election against the Democratic party:

"If there is any political justice at all, Tom the Bummer will be shown the door by the Democratic leadership for his exuberant, unending and unreserved hostility to the Democratic party. He can do that if he likes but he has zero right to expect to retain his powerful rewards from the Democratic party after working so hard to destroy the party's chances. Wrong as is he, he should be gone — and good riddance."

If only McNamara had the nerve to address the problem.

NEW BRITAIN — Democrats on the Common Council have once again checked their Republican counterparts, this time squelching the GOP’s choice to fill a vacancy on the school board with a 33-year-old father of two and instead choosing former school board member (from 1999-2003) Leslie Jacobs, whom RTC chairman Paul Carver called a pawn for the Democrats.

At the last council meeting two weeks ago, the Democrats tabled the appointment of Jamie Giantonio, sparking a harangue by Republican Mayor Timothy Stewart, who scoffed at the move as political payback.

Carver said Monday that the Democrats are extracting payback from the Republicans for their part in the blockage of the Democratic Town Committee’s choice to fill a Democratic vacancy on the Common Council last year with Rick Lopes.

Conflict of interest causes frozen HUD funds for eight agencies within the city of New Britain thanks the whistle blower Alderman Louis Salvio who stated at the time “I only blew the whistle and HUD took the money away.”

Mr. Rich Marzi the President of the north end Revitalization Zone cited that the HUD money slated for his group is frozen pending a conflict of interest is currently under investigation.

Mr. Marzi comments were alluding to Salvio’s whistle blowing causing the investigation by HUD with their finding that three current Alderman had a conflict of interest with their association with the HRA and they were Michael Trueworthy, Paul Cantanzaro who is also President of the HRA organization, and Tonilynn Collins which caused the removal of HUD funds from the city a sum of approximate $264,000.

This effected eight city agencies according to inform sources and one of the agencies concerned, that is running out of money, are the food panties throughout our city and also money for heating for the poor as well winter clothing.

Thanks to the whistle blower Salvio this will be a very cold winter for many of our poor citizens With HUD still refusing to return the money to the city in order to help our needy this winter.

awwwe, Poor LOU LOU gonna cwy like a baby cuz he didn't get his boy onto the Board of Education. CRY YOU LOSER. No one cares what you think!

Frank Smith said...

During The common council meeting of the twelfth the Majority Leader Michael Trueworhty along with his aid, Alderman Phil Sherwood, has chosen to ignore the well chosen words, regarding the appointment to the board of Education vacancy, by many concerned parents, three board members or former board members and a current Vice Chairman of the New Britain Housing Authority.

It is truly sad that the school children of New Britain were ping ponged by the political leaders who should be there to protect them.

The Democratic Aldermen and Alderwomen should be ashamed of their ignoring actions against accepting an individual submitted by the Republican Town Committee, who holds a degree in education for an individual, whose past performance on the very same board of education was less than adequate, as indicated by the aforementioned speakers.

The past tradition was always to accept the wishes of the Town Committee’s recommendation for filling the existing vacancy.
I guess the selection was for one who will provide the yes vote for the leadership without any concerns of the needs of the children.

Loyalty to the leadership is more important then selecting a person who will protect the interest of the children and will not turn the Board of Education in to a political identity.
