The GOP Central Committee is in Town Has The Council Liberals Worried!

I am somewhat mystified of the article that appeared in the New Britain Herald entitled “Mayor Warns off ‘Hostile’ alderman”

We all know that the Mayor as the chief executive officer of our city must maintain complete order with his managers or department heads as covered in the city Charter section 5-3 [ a] with the roles of the city council members which comes under Article four of the City Charter.

Three things bothered me from reading the Herald article and that is as follows:

1. Alderman’s Roy Centeno’s comment referring to the mayor’s letter; “It was a warning to all alderpersons that we can’t ask questions.” Well Alderman there is only one place you’re allowed asking questions of the Department heads and that is on the council floor and not by-passing the Mayor’s Authority and going directly to the department head and imposing demanding reports of his current activity and that of his employees as was requested by Alderman Gerratana via telephone.

2. Former Mayor Lucian Pawlak statement calling the letter a “Threat” & “using his arrest powers to arrest and fine a fellow elected official from asking questions about taxpayers’ money.” ‘ Bullying”

3. Senator Donald DeFronzo stated “ any citizen or alderman has a right to know how much is being spent” Further charging “attempts to conceal such information only raise more questions about the terms of the golf course deal” Continuing on by mentioning the “Fairview Cemetery Fiasco”

What is amazing is that Both Pawlak and DeFronzo served as former Mayors of the City and both know very well that the Mayor’s executive’s duties should not be interfered with in performing his elected duties. And they also know that the question time for an Alderpersons to ask of the Department heads is on the council floor in the open for all to see.

With Alderman Centeno’s remarks does present a factual exposure similar to that of Catanzaros’ conflicts since he is employed by the board of Education along with his wife and is serving on the city Council which raise’s how can his employer mandate any direct orders to him being the identical case that Alderman Catanzaro presents in conflicts.

I guess the election campaign has been started by the democrats with their mudslinging tactics because of being worried over the fact that the GOP Central Committee choice New Britain as there target by moving into town with their newly establish office.

The Ultra Liberals on the council have a reason to worry in holding on to their seats on the City Council!

WASHINGTON 01/29/09 - The $800 billion-plus economic stimulus measure making its way through Congress could steer government checks to illegal immigrants, a top congressional official asserted on Thursday 01/29/09.

The legislation, which would send tax credits of $500 per worker and $1,000 per couple, expressly disqualifies nonresident aliens, but it would allow people who don't have Social Security numbers to be eligible for the government checks being issued an individual taxpayer identification number.

Undocumented immigrants who are not eligible for a Social Security number can file federal income tax returns with an alternative individual taxpayer identification number.

A House-passed version of the economic recovery bill and one making its way through the Senate would allow anyone with such a number, called an individual taxpayer identification number, to qualify for the tax credits.

A revolt among GOP conservatives to similar provisions of a 2008 economic stimulus bill, which sent rebate checks to most wage earners, forced Democratic congressional leaders to add stricter eligibility requirements.

That legislation, enacted in February 2008, required that people have valid Social Security numbers in order to get checks.

We don’t understand why the GOP leader who talked about this immigration aid had to stay anonymous because he/she was not authorized to talk about it.

Why in world would someone not be authorized to tell the American citizens/taxpayers exactly where and how there tax money is being spent.

The problem is that most people never get this information. You see it on the internet and hear it on talk radio but you never see it in your local newspaper or on the TV, unless you are watching FOX.

Knowledge is power and American people have to get the word out about what is going on. The American people would be marching on Washington, DC if they had all the details in this bill - The $800 billion-plus economic stimulus measure.

Section 3003 of the “stimulus” bill also waives the Medicaid citizenship and identity verification requirements.

This will allow the 12-20 million illegal aliens in the U.S. to get free, taxpayer-funded health care benefits.

We Taxpayers gotta figure out who these illegal aliens have hired as their lobbyist because - whoever he or she is - this person gets things done!

President Bill Clinton expanded the range of foreigners allowed to include ILLEGALS to get ITIN numbers from the IRS only as a means of PAYING into the Federal Income TAX system.

Then Clinton, then Bush, continued to expand the use of the ITIN to Bank Credit Cards and “BUY” HOUSES with no money –under special guvment programs.

It’s only logical that now President Obama, Pelosi, Reid, & Co, today want to take taxpayers money and give it to ILLEGALS who-pay-no-NET-tax, as just one more milestone in their STRATEGY to expand voting rights to the ILLEGALS.

The worst, unethical, sycophantic example of a newspaper reporter anywhere - Guinness - could not have chosen two worse examples of ethics in governmental office to comment on an unethical power play by an alderman than, former Mayors Pawlak and DeFronzo. DeFronzo still employs his ethically challenged aide, former alderman, Lopes and Pawlak forgets who helped him get employment after he lost the NB mayoralty. These two former Mayors come to the aid of an arrogant, glib and insensitive freshman alderman (Gerratana) who likes nothing more than to attempt to "throw his weight around" in city hall. Of course, Gerratana has had two mentors who have done the same thing, his aunt, Alderwoman Bielinski and Majority Leader, Mike Trueworthy.

Anyone who has read the letter from Mayor Stewart to Gerrantana now knows that Guinness, probably under the direction of Philthy Phil Sherwack tried to make it appear that Gerrantana was the victim of an attack by the Mayor. Au contrare! It was Director DeMaio who was the victim of Gerratana's gestapo tactics and oversized ego. Small wonder that Gerrantana would be championed by Pawlak and DeFronzo. Wake up New Britain.

New Britain Residents/taxpayers ...think about this....democrats took control of both houses of congress in January 2007 and ran this country into the ground in less than 18 months.

And now that the democrats control the White House too...this country is on the downhill slide into socialism.

Hopefully the GOP will get it's act together and get us out of this mess in 2 years.

The Democrats have every reason to be scared.

By the November election, it will be clear to the American people that Obama's so-called stimulus plan is nothing more than massive pork barrel spending that will have little or no impact at all on the economy except possibly to make matter worse. Many economists predict that the business community will be escalating their layoffs to prepare their budgets for the massive unprecedented tax increases that the liberals have planned for them, so by the time the next election arrives, it will be crystal clear that Obama has failed at his promises to fix the economy and they will be looking to take it out on any Democrats they can.

It will be similar to the wave of Republicans that were elected to Congress to fix the damage after two years of failed Clinton policies, only this time the devestation is predicted to be monumental in comparison. Also by then, the public will regret the negativity that was directed towards President Bush as by then he will be sorely missed.

I certainly wouldn't want my name on a ballot with a "D" next to it.

Is it possible the local Democratic "hierarchy" feels more threatened than worried that the GOP Central Committee relocated to New Britain because the local Republicans are surfacing in a more positive, active political party? All one has to do is look at the comments made here in the past couple of months regarding the arrogant behavior of some of the Democrats currently on the Council.

Centeno will hopefully be the next Alderman to be called before the ethics commission should he decide to vote on the budget for the board of education.

If you remember when Lucien was mayor, the city paid for him to vacation in Poland. He was probably over there learing how to bring socialism back to New Britain.

Do you think we could justify sending Tim Stewart to Ireland so he can learn how capitalism has made their economy the fastest growing economy in Europe and try to bring those capitalist values back here?

AND THE GOP IS HERE TO STAY IN NEW BRITAIN!

It is time for City Hall and the Board of Education to learn the lessons that the private sector have had to learn, and that is there is no way to reduce the budget without reducing staffing costs. You either need to have layoffs or other staff reductions through pay reductions and furlough days, or it just isn't going to work.

I hope they will chase all the ultra liberals all out of town.
