The New Britain Herald and the Bristol Press Have Been Purchased

The Waterbury Republican announced that The New Britain Herald and the Bristol Press along with three weekly newspapers The Newington Town Crier, The Rocky Hill Post, and The Wethersfield Post have been sold to their new owner Mr. Michael E. Schroeder.

It is great news for all the communities that these newspapers serve.

Hopefully he bought it without Rick Guinness! We would do well without Sherwood's personal mouthpiece.

just throwing good money after bad. I wonder who will be the next buyer when this one fails in a few months?

If the new buyer has any business sense, he will end this practice of one-sided, left wing liberal reporting that has driven away so many of the readers. He should try to keep the reporting fair and balanced like Fox News. you can say what you want about Fox, but they are the most watched cable news channel 7 years running for a reason!

Liberal papers are folding all over the country and fair reporting is thriving, so as an investor, which makes better sense?
