California and New York have some of the most liberal policies in the country and are falling flat on their faces.

Now we have our national leaders trying to emulate these policies.

Soon I suspect that most sharp business people will learn that it is more profitable to be dependent on government aid rather working or earning a wage only to have it taken and given to those who choose not to.

On the local level Chris Murphy, Don Defronzo, Tim O’Brien and everyone's favorite local CCAG activist Phil Sherwood want us to follow the path of Government funded housing, utilities, healthcare etc.

Only the voters can reverse these policies, Conservatives need to educate others that when these programs grow taxes will inevitably grow. If we continue to expect a small part of the population to support the masses eventually that small portion of society will no longer exist, they will be bankrupted by our government. Essentially punished for being successful.

Obama Tax Promise.

On September 12, 2008, Democratic presidential candidate Senator Barack Obama (D)Illinois spoke at the McConnell Center in Dover, New Hampshire.

I can make a firm pledge,Obama said - Under my plan, no family making less than $250,000 a year will see any form of tax increase.

Not your income tax, not your payroll tax, not your capital gains taxes, not any of your taxes.

That pledge went up in smoke Wednesday, April 1, 2009, when largest increase in tobacco taxes, took effect, a tax that disproportionately affects the poor.

People who smoke and do not want to quit will pay the extra for their smokes - at the expense of food for their families, or going late on credit cards and rent or mortgage.
