Anonymous said...: I say we boycott the businesses that are now controlled by Obama's union cronies, ie, GM, Chrysler, and Chevy and break the grip the gov't has on the private sector. This tax hike may be coming sooner than you think.

Ultraliberal Democrat Congressmen Henry Waxman and Ed Markey, who chair the Energy committees moving the Cap and Trade bill, want it passed by the U.S. House before Memorial Day. That leaves Republicans precious little time to stop the Democrats' energy tax plan that could cost American businesses and families up to $2 TRILLION and cause massive job losses.

Republicans are committed to protecting the environment and cutting back greenhouse gas emissions -- but not by punishing businesses and families with the giant tax increases that the Democrat plan would impose -- especially in the midst of a recession.

Even Democrat Congressman John Dingell, the former Chairman of the Energy and Commerce Committee, said, "Cap and trade is a tax, and it's a great big one."; May 18, 2009 at 11:29 PM
