Letter to The Editor:
It doesn’t require the brightest crayola in the box to understand why Christopher Dodd is a liar, a fraud and a betrayal of the public trust. The apples rarely fall far from the tree. The recent passing of Michael O’Hare brings to mind the deceit, the fraud and the betrayal of the public trust of his father, Thomas Dodd. Thomas Dodd’s use of campaign funds for his personal expenses is well documented. His acceptance of a $50,000.00 bribe (Dodd claimed to be a lobbyist) from the Guatemalan dictator Armas and his insistence that the Federal government extend a quid pro quo payment to the Guatemalan government of $15,000,000.00 is shameful and despicable even when measured by today’s standards. Thomas Dodd and Carlos Armas and Christopher Dodd and Fidel Castro like father like son. Thomas Dodd lifted the text of NAZI gun control laws and embedded its concept into the US Gun Control Act of 1968. In their thoroughly researched papers Aaron Zelmon and Neal Knox expose Thomas Dodd’s NAZI connection. Thomas Dodd was censured by the US Senate and rightfully defeated by the voters of Connecticut. Now, it is most unlikely that Christopher Dodd will be censured by his cowardly Democrat cronies in the Senate. This writer hopes that the honest, hard working and taxpaying residents of this state will oust Christopher Dodd from the Senate just as they bounced Thomas Dodd forty years ago.
