CT Gov Rell.---Biden conference call

By ConnPolitics.tv Staff, on Jul 6, 2009

Hartford (AP) – Connecticut Gov. M. Jodi Rell is one of five governors who voiced concerns about the federal economic stimulus program during a conference call Monday with Vice President Joe Biden.

A spokesman for Rell says the Republican governor has worries about the federal government not sending the money along as quickly as possible, especially funds for transportation projects.

State officials don’t want to miss out on the construction season.

Rell also told Biden she was troubled that the federal government took a long time to set rules for receiving federal money for certain programs and then changed those rules midway through the application process.

Besides Rell, governors from Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota and Texas participated in the telephone call.

THATS WHAT USED TO BE CALLED THE BAIT AND SWITCH!

PROMISE ONE THING AND THEN GIVE ANOTHER.

THIS WAS NO STIMILUS PACKAGE IT WAS A CHANCE FOR DEMOCRATS AND SOCIALIST TO FUND THEIR GOVERMENT PROGRAMS WITH THE LITTLE HIDDEN EXTRA OF THE FEDRAL GOVERMENT TAKING GREATER CONTROL OF OUR LOCAL FINANCE.

WHERE ARE THE JOBS?
WHERE IS THE DEBT RELIEF?
WHERE IS THE INFRASTRUCTER IMPROVEMENTS?
WHY IS THE DOLLAR STILL FALLING?
WHY HASN'T THE STOCK MARKET IMPROVED?
WHERE ARE THE BUISNESS LOANS?
WHY ARE FUEL PRICES STILL RISING?
WHERE IS THE INVESTMENT IN RENEWABLE ENERGY?

BAIT AND SWITCH!!!

This sounds like a one-sided phone call, kind of like calling dial-a-prayer.

"Now that the cameras have been put away and the media is no longer watching, their secret emerges: They are going to cut medical costs by cutting medical care. Right now.... These decisions will not be medical but financial. They will not be based on a doctor's opinion of what his or her patient needs, but a bureaucrat's and an accountant s opinion of what the new health care system can afford."

So says, political pundit, Dick Morris. But that's not all. Morris issues the following dire warning:

"But this is just the very beginning... rationing is coming, and coming soon."

To paraphrase Morris; if you need a CAT Scan or an MRI, forget it. If you need antibiotics, forget it.

As for potentially life-saving or life-extending treatments, take a number and stand in line.

Is that why Barack Obama wants to bankrupt the nation?

Isn't America a republic? Do we not all have the God-given rights of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness?

Use the hyperlink below to send your urgent Blast Fax messages to Barack Obama and each and every Member of the Republican and Democrat leadership of the United States Senate and the United States House of Representatives.

Tell them to reject any temptation to compromise or fix the Obama-Care proposals that will be thrust upon them. Tell them that the only option is to reject the Obama plan outright. No compromises... no fixes... tell our elected leaders to just say no and when it comes to health care, to go back to the drawing board.

I take it from the article that the other 45 governors are satisfied with the way the stimulus worked?
