municipal officials know they can't afford the state's lavish coverage. How lavish is it? Rep. Chris Murphy, D-5th District, married to a state employee, says he's covered through his wife's policy because it's far superior to the one available to members of Congress.

Connecticut has lost 63,400 jobs in the last year because of the recession.

Our state budget deficit has grown seemingly beyond control. It's time for state lawmakers to focus on promoting job growth, a smaller and more affordable state government, and policies that will help businesses drive our economy back on track.

Unfortunately, legislators this year considered many anti-business proposals that would only make matters worse, by:

* Increasing business taxes, cutting off credits hitting Connecticut's smaller employers especially hard
* Making it harder for employers to manage their own workplaces (paid sick leave mandate and proposal restricting communications with employees)
* Expanding state government into the private sector (through health care, energy, retirement plans)

These proposals will only lead to more job losses and a weaker Connecticut economy.

Only a pro-jobs, pro-growth strategy will help Connecticut survive the recession and thrive into a new era of prosperity.

HEALTH CARE
Better Quality, Reduced Costs = More Access

Improving health care in Connecticut must be achieved in a way that will meet people's needs -- and help the state's economy recover and grow.

The best way to do that is to make our employer-sponsored health insurance system, with its public "safety net," the model for the nation.

REP. Peter Tercyak D-26th District. says,” Whether it be hearing aids, janitors’ health care, the SustiNet Plan, the Health Care partnership bill or budget priorities, the governor has taken the wrong position. The public deserves the option to have the same insurance the governor and I have. People understand that. Appointing yet another task force is not the answer.”

The Democrats never tell you that they expect us to pay for it.

Already our taxes have sky rocketed, they try to convince us that they will only tax the rich. But the fact is our taxes are already going up substantially with increases in license fees and luxury taxes, cigarettes and alcohol. Where do you think companies and investors (The Rich people) are going to get the money to pay these taxes??

That’s right from you and I.

I cannot believe that average Joe democrats and liberals cannot see this.

Don't even get me started on so-called Cap and Trade legislation. Remember 5 years ago everyone was holding California up as the leader in green thinking. Now look at them, they screwed up their economy so bad with all these CAFE laws and recycling, clean energy and such that they cannot even afford to pay the money they currently owe banks. Do you think your bank would take an IOU from you? FAT CHANCE!

If you want what California has follow your socialist leaders such as Tim Obrien, Chris Murphy, Phil Sherwood, Mike Trueworthy and all their merry men down the path they are leading us.

SEE YOU AT THE UNEMPLYMENT OFFICE!!

Let's get with the program...Instead of continuing to raise taxes, stop finding new ways to spend what we don't have. Increasing taxes for businesses and residents means less disposable income. It's no wonder businesses are leaving the state are closing up shop and/or leaving the state, taking people with them.
