ARE OUR FEDERAL CT. REPRESENTATIVE HIDING?

EDITORIAL:

Calling the Congressional Representative offices of Chris Murphy on numerous occasions, in order to find out if he plans to hold a Town Hall type of meeting with his New Britain constituents, only to be advised, by his secretary that you will be informed of his “August scheduled”.

The Health Care issue being proposed by the President is very important to the Senior citizens of our state.

With today being August 18, 2009 and still no August schedule. It is apparent that Rep Murphy is hiding just like Senator Lieberman is and these so called Democrats will vote what they want you to have and not want you want them to do for us, and that is why they do not want to hear DIRECTLY from their CONSTITUENTS.

The current polls are showing that seventy five per cent of the voters oppose everything these socialist are doing!

He can hide from us now, but we won't hide from him in 2010. It is time for change we can believe in!

CBS Hails ObamaCare; Calls French Health Care ‘Best in the World’

Hold on. This is ground zero for CCAG, Acorn, SEIU, and the Working Families Party. You think YOU will have a snowballs chance of getting into this meeting?

You will get gun touting members there but they will be the ones wearing the Acorn shirts.

I have written an email under my own name to Mr. Craven at The Herald requesting an article on the lack of response or representation from our Congressman Chris Murphy to his constituents. If several of you email or call him, he might get the ball rolling. Time is of the essence.

I am convinced Murphy isn't interested in what you and I want. As a left wing zealot, I believe he cares only what the SEIU and ACORN wants.

Actions speak louder than words Mr. Murphy!

I guess Barney Frank is a bigger man than Chris Murphy. Barney held a town hall meeting today in Dartmouth Mass. At least he isn't hiding from his district like the infamous Chris Murphy!

Apparently Murphy didn't get the memo because he is still hiding:

Accused of Hiding During Recess, Congressmen Now Considering Health Care Town Halls
Members of Congress who were accused of avoiding health care town halls are now embracing the sometimes fiery forums after voters and local press faulted them for skipping out during their August recess.

This was the same town hall where Barney Frank said "Don't trust the Government!"

Nobody knows better than Barney Frank that we can not trust our government!

Did Mr. Murphy hold a town hall meeting in Simsbury several weeks ago?

I would like to attend a town hall meeting to discuss health insurance reform.

1) If we are entitled to choose between private or public insurance
will we be required to pay for both? If we are taxed for public insurance and choose to buy private insurance I think most will
be forced to cave in and opt out of private insurance.

2) If that does happen won't we see a domino effect of people being
pushed out of private insurance and
what will happen to that huge industry that provides jobs, stock investments and generates billions
of dollars into our economy?

3) If we can afford to continue to purchase private insurance through one's employer, will the employer be obligated to continue to offer matched private insurance if there is a public option? Can I be cancelled from my employer plan? What will protect me?

4) If doctors and hospitals and all levels of medical providers receive lower payments and late payments which is already the case
with medicare and medicaid, what will prevent this from happening with the public health insurance program? What if our hospitals become bankrupt through the plan. How will they provide the salaries,
the supplies and equipment and level of excellence the Amerian Public has come to know?

5) Lastly, won't this once again effect citizens demographically. A plan to help the poor and the underserved can actually back fire
to a higher degree in the inner cities like New Britain the most.
Just ask our EMS we have the hardest time keeping EMS running because we have the most residents
on goverment medicare and medicaid. They pay slow and they pay late. We have less persons that pay through private health insurance to keep things balanced and that will increase with public
health insurance.

6) If this country and this administration pushes this change without considering every aspect to make this change an improvement
for all Americans it will be a failure. If it fails how can we
go back?

Those are all excellent questions and concerns. Thank you for sharing them.

Why have not The Herald and The Courant editorialize the fact that Murphy is hiding. How can anyone respect a congressman who is making over $175,000 a year, plus benefits from our taxes and then "blow us off'?

This guy would have been fired if he worked in the real world.

Congressman Murphy, come out, come out, wherever you are?

Chris Murphy must think all of his constituents are dining room tables!

Don't expect any enlightment from The Herald. I wrote to Craven and was verbally accosted that I should insult his journalistic integrity because I wanted coverage of Murphy hiding out from his constituents. OK... maybe, I should not have asked him if he was in their pocket. Let's face it. The media and acadamia are in the pockets of the left wing.

The Democrats keep running for cover:

Joe Courtney invites constituents to phone it in.

Imagine the outrage they will face if they support Obama's threat to ram this socialism through against the wishes of the people?

Ann Coulter predicted it would result in a huge sweep of Republican landslides in Congress next year, so maybe it would be the best thing these liberals could do to seal their fate and end this nonsense forever!
