EDITORIAL
The city’s original blight ordinance was originally written and proposed by our former Alderman Tim O’Brien. The Mayor proposed a change to this ordinance since it hasn’t worked while tying up the city in the courts without the privilege of placing a lien onto the property when property violations become apparent.
The Council members must be commended for ignoring the mayor hopeful, Tim O’Brien along with his master--the Democratic Chairman John McNamara--who have spoken fervently in the retention of the old ordinance that hasn’t worked.

Frank: Your are exactly right that the democrats have diminished many changes for the city to make improvements.
So Mr. O'Brien, If you can't get your friends on the council to vote with you now, how will you do it if you become Mayor????
