This is just another bad attempt by the loons on the council to handcuff the mayor so he can't get anything accomplished and then they can make him look bad by blaming him for another failure--a failure that they, the council Democrats are directly responsible for.

It will be so refreshing to replace these yoyos and their childish antics, with candidates who will put the best interests of the city first, instead of continually pushing their radical agenda.

QUESTION? What constitutes a senior-citizen tax program in New Britain?

As published in New Britain's Taxation Ordinance SECTION 22 - Do these programs qualify as special tax programs to any one special group?

1. Urban rehabilitation home ownership; deferral of increase in assessment due to rehabilitation.
2. Abatement of taxes for owners of low income housing.
3. Enterprise zone benefits.
4. Exemption from taxation of real property owned by certain exempt
organizations and leased to other exempt organizations.
5. Tax exemption for ambulance-type motor vehicles used to transport
medically incapacitated individuals.
6. Tax exemption for motor vehicles leased by religious organization
and used for exempt purpose.
7. Exemption for qualified veterans or qualified surviving spouses of veterans.
