Let us remember what the qualifications is to be a Democrat Candidate for Alderman in New Britain:
#1 – Don’t pay your taxes
#2 – Don’t pay your taxes but have an excuse. The dog ate my pay check!
#3 – Have an Ethical lapse
#4 – Have another Ethical Re-Lapse. If you can get away with it once, you can get away with it again and again and again and ……………………………………
# 5 - Have your picture taken with Dick Blumenthal. He really is pro business ….honest he is! Plus, there is no camera that he doesn’t love more than himself!
#6 – Get endorsed by the Working Families Party. Honestly, they’re not connected to Acorn or the SEIU. Plus, you get double the votes!
#7- Participate in the Aldermanic Debate, but don’t say anything! That way people can’t tell if you really are dumber than a 5th Grader!
#8 – Bad mouth potential developers who are willing to invest in New Britain. After all, this is only the worst recession in 50 years. So why worry, be happy….. The Stimulus Bill money will redevelop New Britain. Just ask Congressman Murphy, if you can find him at the Town Hall meeting in Washington, Ct.!
#9 – Have your picture taken with New Britain’s Democratic representatives ……….Moe, Larry, Curly and Shemp. After all, aren’t they slap happy when it comes to raising taxes, again and again and again and …………….
#10 – Don’t be from New Britain and even better, don’t live in New Britain. That way, you can complain about taxes that you don’t pay to the city of New Britain …..that is, if you do pay them at all!

It is very disheartening to live here in your district. I would have been proud to have you as my representative, along with several other fine people.
The question is, "Are we going to lie low of fight back?"
There are too many bright, informed people in this city to let these Acorn people come in here and take over. Next time, one of them will be mayor. If that happenes, it will be because we are NOT developing a plan NOW to win next time.
Get rid of the same old people who have not have a new idea in years. It is time for people with vision and no personal agendas.

Craig was a poor candidate and people didn't choose him. He should blame himself...otherwise he's like those liberals who always blames someone else for their problems. He get buried...it's his fault and the republican party's for putting WEAK people on the ticket.

I couldn't agree with you more. The outcome of New Britain elections are mind blowing. There is only one real answer and that is
Democrats are raised and trained to "Vote Democratic". It has little to do with understanding the issues or finding out about who
you are voting for it's just simply
what your parent's taught you to do so you do it and you do it proud and blind.
If you and Don and Alphonse and Julie and the rest of the Republican slate had "D" next to your names you would all be on the council. Or you could move to Ward 1 and you would be on the council. There was little about the turnout that was educated or informed and it frustrates those of us who really know what goes on.
As concerned taxpayers we need to press them to do the right thing. We need to continue to question ethical breaches. We need to show
up at council meetings (first one this Thursday instead of Wednesday). They love apathy. Get in their faces and question their decisions.

ticket, then you should have stepped forward and run on the Mayor’s slate.
If you had attended the debates, then you could have judged for yourself
who were the strongest candidates. From my perspective, it was all of us
running with Tim Stewart. Also, its obvious from your posting that you
didn’t support any of us running for Council. If so, all of our mailings
included phone numbers, websites and addresses. That was the time for YOU
to do your WHINING! Now, take your foot out of your mouth and learn the difference bewteen whining and political satire.

don't forget that the D's had another answer (supported by O'Brien) to pass a 30% income tax on all businesses and business income.
That I am sure would have done much to create jobs in CT!
What about re-electing someone who was mandated by the charter to be removed from office in January for voting on his own personal matter?

Republicans put up some good candidates this time around too bad most did not win.
I was at the debate that Craig spoke about and Craig could not even get a thought out and had to be cut off almost every time by the person moderating.
We had good candidates who worked hard.
Craig wasn't one of them. Naples worked 5 times as hard. For the record, I appreciate satire. I just agree that of all the candidates on the stewart team that you should not be the one pointing fingers. Less time blogging more time talking to votes may get a better result next time.

It’s so nice of Anonymous to critique my campaign and to be so forth coming with advice. It’s obvious from your posts that you are a novice to the political scene. As for not being able to get a thought out, I was more than capable of answering all of the questions asked and never hesitated to get my point across. I didn’t sit there and stare with that deer-in-the- headlights look.
As for not working hard, prove it. I didn’t know that I had a campaign manager who was accountable for my actions. It’s nice to know that I had someone following my every move. As for Don, yes, he worked hard and did a great job on his first run for office.
Get with the times Anonymous Social media and social networking are today’s technologies. It’s funny that you have no problem blogging. So, stop hiding behind your anonymous title. If you have a problem with me, then sign your name to your posts.

Today I am posting two more qualifications on being a Democrat candidate for Alderman in New Britain.
#11 – Post personal attacks against Republican candidates on blogs. Pretend to be a Republican and use the name ‘Anonymous’. If possible, use a State of Connecticut computer.
#12 – Hire Acorn workers to harass voters in your district. Instruct them to continue to harass the voter until the voter threatens to call the police. The plus side to hiring Acorn workers is that you do not have to pay them a ‘Living Wage’.
Craig, this is great!!! It is unfortunate that the voters in Ward 4 are completely blind to the socialist agenda skippy has. They will realize, in due time, and he will be inserting his foot in his own mouth very shortly. Karma is a wonderful thing. until then, KEEP THE FIGHT! The NB GOP is the Government Of the People - Not WFP!
I want to thank the Dems to a very educational year. I will now be switching parties something I never thought I would do To a big fat R at the end of my name. From having people harassing me at my door, Leaving a lawn sign that I said no to, to the same on the phone Five time in one day from the O'Brien camp. To going to vote and be told who I had to vote for and not nicely I add. Tim O' you have lost some of my respect you Send a tax bill to Me That was a Total LIE. Mike T grow up then again let people keep seeing you as you really are you do what you want for power not for the people of N.B. You should think before you speak or at least make sure who is around.
