NEW BRITAIN VOTERS BEWARE OF THE WORKING FAMILIES PARTY ENDORSED CANDIDATES!--UPDATE

FRANKSMITHSAYSNB EDITORIAL:

UPDATE: Alderman Candidate Lawrence Hermanowski did accept the endorsement of the radical extremist group Working Families Party!

Also beware of: Mayoral candidate Tim O'Brien, Alderman at Large Candidiates, Michael Trueworthy, Paul Catanzaro, Marie Laush for alderman in ward 1, and Alderman in ward four Phil Sherwood.

Voters please be advised The Working Families party is a front group for "ACORN" with Bertha Lewis, chairing both groups, is quoted as saying "Candidates know when they are on our line, they're committed to certain things when we come knocking on their doors."

Their Radical agenda is for anti-business, power of government over the power of citizens. In accepting the endorsement you agree, as a candidate, to support bigger government, higher taxes and "SOCIALISM."

It's in the best interest for the CITY OF NEW BRITAIN TO NOT VOTE FOR ANY OF THOSE CANDIDATES THAT APPEAR ON THE WORKING FAMILIES LINE OR WHERE THEY ALSO APPEAR ON THE "democratic" LINE AS WELL.

Acorn should not be allowed to be knocking on our City Hall Front Door.

Readers should go to the City's website and review the meeting agendas and minutes before voting on Tuesday.

The City's budget has been passing by default for the last few years because the incumbents did not vote on the budget in 2008, and the Democrats voted no on a budget that was holding the mill rate the same as it was in 2008. Only Lou Salvio and Mark Bernacki supported holding the mill rate stable.

The Democrats voted no because they thought the revenue projections were too high, and spending too low. They wanted to put forth a budget that would have had to have increased the mill rate in order to cover the reduction in revenue projections, and increased spending.

So that deceptive mailer by Rep. O'brien would have resulted in a larger tax increase had the Mayor's budget NOT passed by default... as provided for in the City charter when the Council fails to act in a timely manner.

Things could be far worse. Just adjusted for inflation, your tax bill should have gone up a minimum of 10% since 2006.
The large increase for multi-family home owners was the result of the revaluation. While your taxes may have gone up a $1,000 or more, the value of your house probably went up by $80,000 or more... not such a bad thing if you are selling, or want a Home Equity loan. Not to mention how much you saved under Mayor Stewart from 2003 to 2007.

IF YOU BELIEVE THAT MAYOR STEWART is responsible for the tax increase, think again. The Democrats hold the Majority, a VETO PROOF MAJORITY. They should have put forth a better budget if they truly felt that YOUR TAXES WERE TOO HIGH!! The Mayor would not have been able to override it.

MAKES YOU WONDER IF O'BRIEN REALLY WANTS TO LOWER YOUR TAXES... IF HE IS AS SMART AS HE CLAIMS, AND WANTS TO LOWER TAXES, THEN WHY DIDN'T HIS SLATE DO SO WHILE ON THE COUNCIL?

Then again, maybe that's why his name isn't on any of his slates mailers, and vice versa, unlike the STEWART SLATE.

While Paul Catanzaro claims in his mailing that he hasn't voted for a tax increase, the truth is he voted no on the current mill rate that remained the same as in 2008, the very budget he did not vote on in 2008.

One last thought...

If you thought the mill rate and therefore your taxes were outrageous when Pawlak was Mayor, GUESS WHO was sitting to Pawlak's left passing those outrageous budgets?... you guessed it... TIM O'BRIEN!!!!

BREAKING: ACORN’S Working Families Party Accused Of Fraudulent Absentee Ballots! Election Tipped! Demand A Forensic Audit Of The Minnesota Absentee Ballots!

WFP/ACORN Voter Fraud in Troy, NY:

Not voter registration fraud – which is, by the way, voter fraud – but actual, no-fooling, they-forged-absentee-ballots voter fraud:

Affidavits: Ballot abuse rampant

Dozens of forged and fraudulent absentee ballots from people registered to vote on the Working Families Party line were filed in the Sept. 15 primary elections in Troy, the Times Union has learned.

Did ACORN’s Working Families Party steal an election in New York?

Fox News is reporting that absentee ballots were fraudulently cast with stolen identities, and that the number of allegedly fraudulent votes was enough to potentially tip the election in the favor of Working Families Party candidates.

Brian Suozzo voted with an absentee ballot in the Working Families Party primary on Sept. 15 because, as his application stated, he was “at home recovering from medical procedure.”

Jessica Boomhower’s application said she would be attending a “work conference in Boston.”

Michael Ward couldn’t vote in person because he was “taking care of elderly parent.”

Kimberlee Truell was on a “Bus trip to casino,” as was Miguel Vazques.

The only problem with these absentee ballot records at the Rensselaer County Board of Elections in Troy, N.Y., is that they’re phony, voters and investigators say — and they’ve prompted what’s being called an unprecedented investigation of suspected voter fraud.

One person who must comment on these developments is ACORN Chief Organizer and Working Families Party co-founder, Bertha Lewis.

The Ward 3 Mailer: We finally got a mailer from the Democratic candidates for Ward 3. We were hoping to finally hear about Shirley Black and Silvia Cruz and what they have done for Ward 3 and New Britain during their past two years on the Common Council.

We were disappointed in content of their mailer and here is the text from their mailer printed below...

...This Tuesday, November 3rd, we can make a real difference. Please vote for the Democrats on Row B.
Re-Elect Shirley Black & Silvia Cruz Democrats for City Council If you need a ride to the polls, call XXX-XXXX. Shirley Black & Silvia Cruz ~ Democrats for City Council.
This Tuesday, November 3rd we can elect a great team for our neighborhood. Re-Elect Shirley Black & Silvia Cruz. Democrats for City Council.

There was no listing of Alderwomen Shirley Black and Silvia Cruz accomplishments, their abilities, their experience, their vision for a brighter future on their Mailer.

Incumbents Black and Cruz are under the spell of Alderman Phil Sherwood - member of CCAG and his Working Families Party endorsement.

It could have simply read: "vote for the same old radical extremists, pushing their radical agenda under the spell of Sherwood and his CGAG, Working Families, ACORN buddies!

My name is Craig Diangelo and I am a candidate for Alderman in New Britain’s 4 th Ward on Mayor Tim Stewart’s ticket. Though there are many issues that can be debated this election season, there is one topic that seems to have been largely ignored by the press. I think that the voters of New Britain need to have this information made available to them as they review the candidates and decide on whom to give their vote to.

Media coverage of ACORN and that organization’s illegal activities in numerous states has largely ignored one of ACORN’s most successful projects; the Working Families Party (WFP). Because of the passage of Senate Bill 1311 in Connecticut in 2007, candidates are allowed to be endorsed and appear on the voting ballot as the candidate of multiple parties, winning the cumulative total of all votes cast for that candidate on multiple party lines. This is called Fusion voting. The cause of electoral fusion suffered a major setback in 1997, when the U.S. Supreme Court decided by 6-3 in Timmons v. Twin Cities Area New Party that fusion is not a constitutionally protected civil right .

The Working Families Party was formed in New York as a wholly owned subsidiary of ACORN. Bertha Lewis is the Executive Director of ACORN. Recently, in a visit to New Britain, she was quoted in a Herald article as saying “Politics do not happen in New York unless you check in with the Working Families Party.” Will that happen here in New Britain? Will our Democrat candidates who are now cross endorsed by the WFP,be responsible first to the WFP or to the taxpaying people of New Britain?

The Connecticut Elections Enforcement Commission is investigating a complaint that ACORN submitted fraudulent voter registration cards in Bridgeport. The state Elections Enforcement Commission is still investigating those claims as of September 22, 2009. Also, Attorney General Richard Blumenthal plans to launch a review of any state funds paid to the group, and U.S. Sen. Chris Dodd Friday labeled some of the group's activities "indefensible."

Now the voters of New Britain have this additional information on which to base their decision as to who they should vote for this November.

Good point Craig. A vote for Working Families Party is really a vote for ACORN!

Those who fail to learn from history are destined to repeat it.

If you like the chaos that is unfolding in Washington, then by all means repeat it here by electing O'Brien to the Mayor's office and watch the left wing loons ram through one socialist spending plan after another claiming that by electing them you gave them a mandate to increase taxes and spend, spend, spend!

the best solution in Ward#4 is Naples and Diangelo!

A team that will work for the city and not left wing partisan politics!

Larry Hermanowski, you lost my vote...I thought you had enough independent gumption to turn your back on the likes of the WFP! Lord have Mercy!!

Is the chairman of the local Democratic party actually bragging that his candidate for mayor is a socialist, and even possibly a communist? Here's what he had to say about his candidate:

With Rep.Tim O'Brien as the nominee, we have a candidate for Mayor whose record on the City Council and in the Legislature has been among the most progressive and reform-minded--

Progressivism is a political and social term for ideologies and movements favoring or advocating changes or reform, usually in an egalitarian direction for economic policies (public management) and liberal direction for social policies (personal choice). Progressivism is often viewed in opposition to conservative ideologies.

Economic egalitarianism is a state of economic affairs in which the participants of a society are of equal standing and equal access to all the economic resources in terms of economic power, wealth, and contribution. It is a founding principle of various forms of socialism, communalism and cooperative economic organization.

I don't think most people understand the true meaning of Progressivism, so here it is!

Is this one final act of desperation by Hermanowski, showing he is becoming extremely desperate at the prospect of his losing this election?

Vote Early & Vote Often [ If you're like our ACORN counterparts]
Let's go New Britain, get your lazy ass up off the couch and go vote! Unless you're voting for Tim O'Brien, then you'd better stay put ;o)
