Typical liberals--doing what is right for business is giving in?

The State of Nevada allows liquor sales 24 hours a day, 7 days a week not only in casinos, but bars, restaurants and yes even liquor stores throughout the entire state. Most grocery stores in Nevada have several aisles full of liquor and they never close or shut off their liquor sales. The naysayers predicted massive carnage on our highways recently when the Governor tried to allow our casinos to serve liquor 24 hours a day as a way to produce huge increases in the state liquor tax and to finally make our casinos competitive. Unfortunately, Senator Edith Prague, Connecticut's one woman temperance movement got her way with blocking this effort, so the casinos still must stop their service at 1AM just like anyone else.

Maybe now that both casinos are suffering financially, the legislature will take on the good Senator and finally let them become a true 24 hour operation.

Maybe the difference is if you commit a crime like DWI in Nevada, they actually throw you in jail, not like the liberals here.

Go ask O.J. Simpson how the justice system in Nevada compares to the liberal, do-gooder system in California?

You will find him for the next 33 years sweating it out in the Nevada dessert where it is frequently 120 degrees in the shade!
