Aren't these the same Democrats that ramped up spending during a budget crisis?
If memory serves me correctly, we were facing a $9 billion deficit, and they overrode vetoes of Governor Rell that were expected to increase spending by another $2 billion for new social programs, even after the Governor vetoed them because the Democrats offered no way to pay for their massive new spending plans.
Sounds like this so-called New Britain delegation is taking their lead from Obama. They spent the session ramming through one reckless spending bill after another, and now they are fiscally responsible by looking for places to cut the budget.
Let's start be repealing some of their new social programs!
Glenn Beck just described what the Obama Administration has been doing as a "SPENDING ORGY."
A spending orgy is an accurate description of what the legislative Democrats have been doing here in Connecticut as well.
And now that their policies are failing, the Democrats are trying to blame those naughty rich people and those evil business owners with their nasty profits.
Hats off to Ann Mikulak and Helene Groman of CPOA for their questioning of the legislators...I hope the legislators listened...where was John Geragosian? He could learn from the questions asked.
Perhaps the 4 legislators should attend the next CPOA meeting, along with the Common Council...they all could benefit by attending.
