Another leading state Democrat, Tom Swan, disagreed with DeStefano. Swan recruited Ned Lamont to run against (and defeat) Lieberman in a 2006 primary, before losing to Lieberman in the general election. Swan said he anticipates a 2012 challenge to Lieberman from a different elected official, Democratic U.S. Rep. Chris Murphy.

Chris Murphy is pound for pound the best politician in Connecticut, in the best sense of the word. and he would destroy Joe in 2012,” Swan said Wednesday. “I think Joe will realize this and retire before the race.”

Chris Murphy refused to meet with New Britain's seniors in a town hall forum. He chose to meet with seven selected people from New Britain in his office then to hear the opposition from the local seniors that are against the Obamacare legislation.

He voted for the obamacare and it is time for us to vote him out!

Chris Murphy is a lightweight, a legend in his own mind, afraid to take on the seniors in New Britain. We saw his true colors last summer

Through his refusing to meet with New Britain senior citizens regarding Obamacare, Murphy has proven his ability to ignore constituents--the main reason the majority of Americans are fed up with what is happening in Washington.

Our Constitution is based on governing with the consent of the governed, not the other way around as liberal radicals like Murphy seem to believe.

Chris Murphy must not have seen the polls! Also I wonder if he even knows he represents New Britain here in CENTRAL Connecticut.

Murphy apparently only believes he represents 7 people in New Britain.

If you may recall, after weeks of refusing invitations to meet with seniors at the New Britain senior center, he held a phony town hall meeting in his office with 7 handpicked people to speak in favor of Obamacare, and the Herald went right along with this staged meeting, reporting it as if it were an open meeting with any of his constituents allowed to participate, when in fact, it was held behind closed doors.

He must have learned this closed door transparency from Pelosi and Reid.
