Where was Sherwood to condemn Catanzaro for voting as an Alderman to approve his own Parks Department contract, or for that matter, voting to oppose his own ethics violations? Now he condemns the Mayor for participating in contract negotiations that are a requirement for him to perform under the City Charter?

Perhaps Sherwood should read the Charter before criticizing the mayor for obeying it?

Better yet, perhaps Sherwood and his minions should actually obey the Charter for a change!

While the Charter may empower the Mayor to be involved with contract negotiations, I believe the Ethics code would prevent him from doing so, and if he chose to ignore that, than he would have violated the ethics code and subject himself to a potential complaint. I hope he had enough sense not to do this. He does have other qualified people who could have done this.

Read Page twelve of The Charter. Why does anybody think that the Mayor hires outside Councel to work with FD Contracts. DUHHHH! He knows he must in this case. The Mayor uses the Corp. Counsel's Office and one private counselor in this contract, thus saving the city many thousands of dollars.

As usual, Sherwood looks not to serve the taxpayers of the city but to try and find wrong with the Mayors actions - ridiculously sad. Sherwood a ridiculously hopeless and incorrigible partisan, troublemaker. And Jim Craven and the Herald adore him!
