Maybe these two clowns would like to hold a public informational session on this topic outside of New Britain's former Walmart location. And if some residents can't accommodate a ride to the meeting, taxpayers can provide a bus. Better yet, maybe we can budget subscriptions to the New Britain Herald for all residents to be sure notices are reaching the people here in the city.

Don't these two guys have anything better to do with their time? Go to work like the rest of us. Be assured, those who are needing to find public notices will do so. The eight track was replaced by the cassette and cassette by the CD
and the beat goes on.

NEW BRITAIN – The Former Hardware City of The World...

This is the break down of the 27,400 manufacturing jobs plus the projected employee manufacturing Floor Space that was never created by politician Tim O’Brien when he launched his long-term 2011 employee Economic Development Plan for the City of New Britain – 27,400 jobs – where will he find the manufacturing land for these O’Brien jobs...in Georgia... in Texas?

1.- 4,200 American Hardware Jobs – plus manufacturing Floor Space 2,255,912 feet.

2.- 3,000 Landers, Frary and Clark Jobs – plus manufacturing Floor Space 42 acres .

3.- 1,200 North and Judd Jobs - plus manufacturing Floor Space 850,000 feet.

4.- 5,500 Fafnir Ball Bearing Jobs - plus manufacturing Floor Space 2,000,000 feet.

5.- 13,500 Stanley Works Jobs - plus manufacturing Floor Space 1,291,456 feet.

6.- Skinner Chuck Jobs – plus manufacturing Floor Space 65,000 feet.

Mayor Candidate Tim O’Brien stated in his 2010 political campaign that he was developing plans to bring back jobs and bring back industry and bring back – “the New Britain that was once famous around the world”.

This was a novel, but unrealistic job plan by O'Brien considering that the majority of NB manufacturing jobs were moved either to more business friendly states, or overseas to countries where labor markets are much lower.

However, former candidate O’Brien stated that some NB voters were seeking someone like Rep. Tim O'Brien to campaign NEW BRITAIN – The Former Hardware City of The World.
