It seems like the police should be able to do more, not that they are not trying, and I have no idea what more they could do. All I am saying is that if businesses can't feel safe downtown, what hope do we have of attracting new businesses to invest in our city?

I have been downtown for 22 years and have felt and been safe for 22 years. My job sometimes has me working all night and I have never had an issue in downtown. We do have an alarm system that works and is actively monitored. That's the price of doing business anywhere.

I feel bad for this guy. I do shop at his store. We discussed alarm systems but he doesn't seem too interested.

People need to patronize downtown businesses for them to stay open and grow. Foot traffic helps downtown as a whole. If you can please stop in and buy.
