REPUBLICANS NOMINATE 30 YEAR OLD ENTREPRENEUR AS CANDIDATE AGAINST OBRIEN

PRESS RELEASE

NEWINGTON, May 11 – Republicans of the 24th Assembly District Tuesday night nominated Cris Carillo as their candidate for the office of State Representative. The 24th district includes parts of both New Britain and Newington.

“I am honored and humbled to be the Republican nominee for the 24th District,” said Carillo. “I greatly appreciate the support I have received from both Newington and New Britain during this process and look forward to beginning a conversation with all the voters of the 24th. When people hear the common sense solutions I am offering to make our state more desirable for job-creating businesses and to lift our state out of this fiscal crisis, without tax increases, I believe they will want to join our campaign.”

Mayor Tim Stewart, who expressed his support for Carillo stated, “Cris’ election to the General Assembly in Hartford is extremely important to New Britain. Cris will work tirelessly to make Connecticut and New Britain more business friendly and to solve our current budget crisis. Cris is a principled fiscal-conservative that can be counted on to fight for tax cuts for our residents.”

Carillo also has the support of House Republican Leader Larry Cafero who stated, “Cris has the energy and ability to run a strong campaign. He understands the Common Sense Principles that our state needs to embrace as we face the state budget deficits that are in our future. As a small businessman, Cris has seen the devastating effects of the recession and will bring real-world experience to the Capitol.”

Cris was born in New Britain. He has been a property owner in New Britain for over four years. Cris, after working at ESPN for several years, started his own business in 2008, KeystoneBankCard.com, where he is self-employed today. Cris is currently a member of the Lions Club and has been a member of UNICO. He is an Eagle Scout. Cris obtained a Bachelors’ of Science from the University of Connecticut in 2002, where he was the founder & president of the UConn Real Estate Society.

Carillo states he resides in New Britain. My, my. How long has he lived here? When did he move out of NB and when did he move back?

He is from Newington because they had to go out of town to try and save us from the destruction of the New Britain socialists that are currently in power in our legislature. Keep electing these radical Democrats, and what is happening in Greece will be Connecticut's future. Socialism destroys. Just look at Greece.

According to Friday's Herald, Helen Berghenty of Plainville will oppose Betty Boop(OOPS!)Boukas for the 22nd District. She has many years of political experience and will be an asset to the District. She is know to may New Britain Republicans..She should do well.
