Of course Smith would write it in a manner that attempts to make the mayor the heavy, but if you read between the lines, he is basically saying the teacher's union agrees with the mayor because the mayor accused Kurtz of being reprehensible and the union agreed with the mayor by voting no confidence in her.

I'll bet Smith never realized he was writing a story that actually proved the mayor was right, or we wouldn't be reading it right now.

Smith highlights that Tim O'Brien "almost beat the mayor in the election" but he didn't mention his sending his stepson to a school in another town, did he?

In his editorial diatribe on personal behavior regarding the NB budget aruguments, having Editor James Smith bringing up the "sins" of others as being uncivilized he is actually doing what he condemns in others. But, Editor Smith is a journalist and he is an honorable man.

What an absolute hypocrite. He assigns, edits and approves those uninformative and slanted stories and headlines that stirs all the trouble in town.

If he wants more civility, then he should practice what he preaches.
