Bertha Lewis and Her Radical Working Families Party Is At Again With Endorsements!

Smith photo

Her organization just endorsed Denise Merrill for the office of Secretary of State. Denise is a House Majority Leader, an attorney, a former school teacher from Mansfield, Conn. That is just what Connecticut needs is Bertha to come knocking on the legislative doors to get her endorse see to support her radical requests.

Hopefully the voters will wake-up and getting the nod from big Bertha will have the same effect as being endorsed by Odumbo!

Bertha Lewis Speaking to a group of "Young Democratic Socialists" March 25, 2010:

First of all, let me just say that any group that says “I’m young, I’m democratic, and I’m a socialist” is alright with me. [applause]...

Immigration is the next big battle. Immigration, immigration, immigration. And the reason this is so important is, you know, here’s the secret [whispers]:

We’re getting ready to me a majority, minority country. Shhhh. [applause] We’ll be like South Africa. More black people than white people. [laughter] Don’t tell anybody.

You get yourselves together, get strong, get big, and get in this battle. Get in this battle! Because again it’s all about money. How this country works. Who we have in this country. And the fact that a fear of a black planet that’s being played out in the United States today. The future of our country is people of color. And how that’s going to change our psyche and our economics, this is why folks are grabbing so hard to change the economic paradigm, because we gettin’ ready to have a majority country of people of color. And the fear of a black planet is real. [break]

My challenge to black folks, and to people of color and civil rights folks, are as this: the face of immigration needs to be a lot blacker than it is. Because once they can frame the immigration debate as about Latinos, crossing some mythical border, when in fact we have second and third generation black folks in this country who come from immigrant families. But they’re not standing up and marching with their Latino brothers and sisters, and saying “I am an immigrant too”…[break]

So Young Democratic Socialists, join this immigration war. Black people, young black people that have been put in the vast vat of “African Americans”, JOIN. Don’t march along side, don’t march in back, be right out front!

There is no difference between communism and socialism, except in the means of achieving the same ultimate end: communism proposes to enslave men by force, socialism—by vote. It is merely the difference between murder and suicide.

When one observes the nightmare of the desperate efforts made by hundreds of thousands of people struggling to escape from the socialized countries of Europe, to escape over barbed-wire fences, under machine-gun fire—one can no longer believe that socialism, in any of its forms, is motivated by benevolence and by the desire to achieve men’s welfare.

HERE IS WHY SOCIALISM AND THE ULTIMATELY RESULTING COMMUNISM MUST BE BROUGHT ONTO AN UNSUSPECTING PUBLIC THROUGH TRICKERY AND DECEIT:

The Working Families Party (WFP) is a front group for the radical cult ACORN. It functions as a political party in New York State and Connecticut, promoting ACORN-friendly candidates. Unlike conventional political parties, WFP charges its members dues – about $60 per year – a policy characteristic of ACORN and its affiliates.

According to the party’s Web site, WFP is a coalition founded by ACORN, the Communications Workers of America, and the United Automobile Workers. However, ACORN clearly dominates the coalition. New York ACORN leader Steven Kest was the moving force in forming the party. WFP headquarters is located at the same address as ACORN’s national office, at 88 Third Avenue in Brooklyn.

“The [Working Families Party] was created in 1998 to help push the Democratic Party toward the left,” noted the Associated Press on March 28, 2000. In pursuit of this goal, WFP runs radical candidates in state and local elections. Generally, WFP candidates conceal their extremism beneath a veneer of populist rhetoric, promoting bread-and-butter issues designed to appeal to union workers and other blue-collar voters, Republican and Democrat alike.

“Candidates know that when they’re on our line, they’re committed to certain things,” explains Bertha Lewis, who moonlights as WFP co-chair and New York ACORN executive director. Speaking days before Hillary won her Senate seat in 2000, Lewis noted, “Hillary knows that if she wins, we’re going to be knockin’ on her door. She won’t be able to hide.” (quoted in The Village Voice, November 1-7, 2000) (Emphasis mine.)

Unless you agree with Bertha Lewis and her radical ideas, why would anyone accept the endorsement of the Working Families Party or vote for one of their endorsed candidates?????

Just the other night I was watching MSNBC (purely for blogging material I assure you) and they were blatantly throwing the Progressive® brand around. When I was a youngster we called them Liberals®. Of course, before that they were called Progressives®. The reason they changed to Liberal was because of WWII. Progressivism is nothing but Socialism for North America. After WWII Socialism and its’ offshoots, fascism, Nazism, communism, or progressivism (which Hitler and Mussolini were big fans of) were not exactly popular.

It is very frustrating to me that history proves again and again that the more socialist you become the more unstable you become. Socialism will only work when it is forced upon people because it removes human nature from the governance equation. It is in human nature to want to succeed and to compete and prosper, but socialism removes the incentive for that and instead rewards mediocrity and dependence. When you add force to the equation it ultimately increases to the level of total government and at some point the system fails.

If you ask me, anyone who would accept the endorsement of the so-called working families party is sending a message to the voters that he/she is a "Progressive" which according to Glenn Beck is nothing more than a code word for a "socialist"

A quote attributed to Margaret Thatcher goes along the lines of

"The problem with socialism is that eventually you run out of other people's money to spend."

Sound anything like the budget problems facing the socialists in our legislature?

Socialism is the Big Lie of the twentieth century. While it promised prosperity, equality, and security, it delivered poverty, misery, and tyranny. Equality was achieved only in the sense that everyone was equal in his or her misery.

In the same way that a Ponzi scheme or chain letter initially succeeds but eventually collapses, socialism may show early signs of success. But any accomplishments quickly fade as the fundamental deficiencies of central planning emerge. It is the initial illusion of success that gives government intervention its pernicious, seductive appeal. In the long run, socialism has always proven to be a formula for tyranny and misery.

WHAT ABOUT THE SOCIALISTS ON THE CITY COUNCIL?

This is why these radicals need to hide behind misleading names like "Progressives" or Working Families:

Bertha Lewis Arrested at Immigration Protest

It’s only a trespassing charge, but there is something really gratifying about seeing the corrupt, race-baiting Bertha Lewis being led away in handcuffs. This happened Msy 25th, at an immigration rally in NYC.
