Salvio said he was startled when Trueworthy and Sherwood said they would expose city residents to higher taxes if they did not get what they wanted.

CLEARLY THESE RADICALS THINK THAT FORCING WORKING PEOPLE TO PAY HIGHER TAXES, SO LONG AS THEY GET THEIR RADICAL SOCIALIST AGENDA, IS JUST A BIG GAME!

Great, so much for a honest paper. This story yet again changes its headline and content, the 3rd headline is now ...Police: No evidence of threat....maybe Sherwussy does run the paper now too

Didn't Sherwood brag on this blog that he can tell the police whether or not to make an arrest?

Why didn't he issue his marching orders to the hired help?

They did at least move the story about the complaint being unfounded to the front page. Last night, the big headline was "SHERWOOD MAINTAINS HE WAS THREATENED" and the story clearing the mayor of any wrongdoing was buried deep inside. You had to actually click the link to "all headlines" to find the story that clears the mayor, so that most people would only see the story about Sherwood proclaiming he was threatened.

More games by a liberal loon left wing extremist propaganda rag!

I used to refer to it as a bird cage liner, but toilet paper is probably more accurate!

When are the people of New Britain going to say "ENOUGH" and reject these 2 radical socialists and their endless childish games?

New Britain - Democrats on the NB council recently voted to appropriate $20,000 to hire an outside lawyer , but Stewart vetoed the expense. So Alderman Sherwood called a special meeting last Friday for an override vote, then canceled it. At Wednesday night's session, it was clear that Democrats stood no chance of prevailing.

The Democrats hold 11 seats on the council and needed 10 to override Stewart veto, but three of their members – Sylvia Cruz, Tonilynn Collins and Shirley Black – didn't even attend. The Question is....WHY?

Frank: Sometimes, comments made at Council meeting either during public participation or during the main meeting go unnoticed. Please realize that all comments made at Council meetings are recorded.

At some point during the Council meeting this past Wednesday (7/14/10) Sherwood said, "... we hired an attorney..." I hope Sherwood means that either he or Trueworthy or both hired an attorney because, " the Council" did not. More misspeak or lying by Sherwood? Who Knows? Check it out Frank.

If "WE" hired an attorney, then how is the attorney "WE" hired being paid, since the mayor vetoed the resolution that would have authorized his being hired?

Sounds like there needs to be an investigation!
