Hurray for Stanley Works for expanding it's industrial base...here's hoping that Stanley will continue having its Corporate Headquarters in New Britain.

With Stanley expanding its industrial base, will they eventually re-open some if it's vacant buildings, such as the one on the corner of Myrtle St. and Curtis St.? It seems such a waste to have these buildings vacant for so many years.
Fox News is reporting that the City of Bell California is the poster child of what is wrong in government, but I disagree, I believe the New Britain council holds that title.
TEXAS Sales Taxes State Sales Tax: 6.25% (non-prepared food, prescription and non-prescription drugs exempt)--CT is 6% with similar exemptions. Texas is one quarter of one percent higher, but consider all the other taxes you don't pay in Texas:
Gasoline Tax: 20 cents/gallon--CT is 41.9 cents MORE THAN 2 TIMES AS MUCH
Texas: Diesel Fuel Tax: 20 cents/gallon--CT is 45.9 cents per gallon MORE THAN 2 TIMES AS MUCH
Texas: Cigarette Tax: $1.41 cents/pack of 20--CT is $3.00 per pack MORE THAN 2 TIMES AS MUCH
Personal Income Taxes Texas: No state personal income tax--CT state income tax ranges from 3 to 6.5% Texas: Retirement Income: Not taxed.--CT taxes every dime of your retirement income.
WHAT DO THE LIBERALS IN OUR LEGISLATURE DO WITH ALL THAT MONEY???

It's encouraging that an American Company is still investing in America. We need more of that.

I notice they are buying companies in business friend Texas--a right to work state with no state income taxes and no business taxes.
I wonder if this is a sign of things to come, after all, who could blame a company for moving to a state with no unions, and no taxes?
nice picture of an empty building in New Britain!
