COST OF GOVERNMENT DAY!

Today is national "Cost of Government day." By national average, you had to work until today to pay for the cost of the government--231 days, but because you live in Connecticut, you still have another month to go, just to earn the money to pay for all the taxes needed to run your government.

That's right, because you choose to live in Connecticut, you will work until September 17th this year just to pay all your taxes--meaning every dime you have earned until September 17th will go to the government. You will be allowed to keep whatever you earn after that date until the end of the year, and then you can expect that next year you will have to work even longer to pay your taxes, thanks to the tax and spend Democrats that currently control Congress, our state legislature and our city council.

In fact, Connecticut ranks 50th in the nation with the latest "Cost of Government Day" in the nation. In Connecticut you will work 260 days for the government this year.

Just a little information to consider when deciding which candidates to support in November, so if you like the idea of working into October just to pay your taxes, go right ahead and vote for someone who supports more spending, more social programs, and of course higher taxes to pay for all the nonsense.

But, if you like the idea of working less time for the government instead of more, you might start to consider candidates who support reducing spending, reducing the bloat in government at all levels and finally as a result, reducing taxes.

Sherwood and Trueworthy appreciate all of you working until Sept 17th to turn everything you made up til that point over to them, so they can spend it for you. After all, they know better than you how to spend your money.

Of course this only applies to people who pay taxes, and since more than 50% of Americans now live totally free off the government and never pay one dime in taxes--ever, this only applies to the other 50% who are busting their butts working hard just to pay their bills and to support the other 50% and their totally free ride.
