Lou Salvio Wrote Regarding Democratic Hogwash!

" That The Herald articles lean to the liberal left is not surprising, the media in general lean that way. What is too bad is that often, the reporting and the submitted articles are sickening in that regard. Case in point, today's issue of the Herald.

The leading story on page one reports on the Busway Project, a good article that comments effectively on questions that have been asked by "citizens of New Britain"; the article should be of major interest to New Britain residents and taxpayers. Congratulations. A problem I see with the article is that the article barely gets started and then the reader must forward to page 8 for the rest of it.

Contrast this to two articles on page 3, one of the most read pages in the paper - (don't believe it?), check out the cost of an ad on page 3.
The two articles profile two Democrat politicians, Chris Murphy and Tim O'Brien; both articles drip with syrupy praise for the two. The article on O'Brien is a, "Special To The New Britain Herald." It trumpets the fact that O'Brien does what he was elected to do, vote on bills before the Gen. Assembly.
WOW, great going Tim! If O'Brien is so proud of his "accomplishment" is it something voters should not expect from him? It's like the ridiculous statement often made that so and so gives 100% at their job. What percent should they give?
The article by Scott Whipple re Chris Murphy takes up about 80% of Page 3. The article tells one absolutely nothing new except to introduce the names of about 6 people who have nothing to do with New Britain - including Murphy.

So much for fair and balanced reporting! "

The only problem with the story in the Herald is that they fail to mention that O'Brien almost always votes the wrong way. O'Brien would actually be doing mainstream America a favor by missing all of his votes, and therefore failing to vote for so many radical socialist programs he likes to force us all to pay for.

It is directly the fault of liberal extremists like O'Brien that our state is ranked by Wall street as 50th of the 50 states for our financial condition and our state bonds ranked as "junk." All these Democrats like to do is spend more money that we don't have to pay for more social programs which amounts to little more than redistribution of our income by seizing our money through taxes and redistributing it to people that radicals like Tim O'Brien believe deserve your hard earned money more than you do. You shouldn't be allowed to have so much wealth as long as someone else has less, no matter how hard you are willing to work or what risks you are willing to take.

If you are tired of this country heading towards becoming a European Socialist country, the best thing you can do is vote against radicals like Tim O'Brien, Peter Tercyak, and Don "the conscientious objector" DeFronzo this November.

And if you want European/Canadian style socialized medicine so you can die waiting 2 years for permission from a government bureaucrat before you can see a doctor (if you are not too old to justify the government expense), then vote for Chris Murphy as your Congressman, because he promises along with Pelosi to deliver the "government option" if re-elected.

Perhaps the Herald should take note that the Middletown Press prints editorials from such noted commentators like Mike Reagan, Rush Limbaugh, Bill O'Reilly, Kevin Rennie, and Chris Powell.

As I understand it, the Middletown Press is financially successful while the Herald is reportedly fighting to keep its doors open.

I wonder why?

Could it be that the "Press" gives people the news they want to read, while the "Herald" is simply a public relations arm of the local Corrupticrat Party?

Did Lou really expect anything but glowing praise for liberals from New Britain's own version of Pravda???

Lou, when they are padlocking the front doors of the herald because they finally failed for good, we will be the ones laughing hysterically.

Everyone who disagrees with their radical left wing politics should simply refuse to read their scandal sheet. Don't even read it online, because every time you click on their page, you are helping increase their online advertising.

We all have choices, and if enough of us refuse to accept their one sided reporting, they will eventually disappear.

The Courant brings you more interesting local news anyway!

you tell'em Lou!

Lou, I admit to reading the Herald online but you must have purchased the actual paper. Don't support The Herald with a purchase.

Editor Smith does not allow opposing views to his to be expressed in The Herald. This is his prerogative as The Herald is a private forum which he controls. The problem arises when he lobbies against the rights of others to express their opposing views in other forums, both private and public, which he often does.

This explains why the Herald is doing so poorly financially. Whenever a news organization attempts to constantly force their left wing extremism onto their audience, the audience abandons them.

Can you say NBC--sold for pennies on the dollar to Comcast.

NY Times-borrowing from Mexico at 14% interest just to keep making their payroll and paying their utilities.

NEWSWEEK, sold for $1.

and coming to the New Britain Herald if they don't stop force feeding us their socialist views:

bankruptcy!

(didn't Fox News parent company News Corp. just post a $454 million profit for just one quarter--a profit they contributed to the huge success of their cable news organizations????)

Instead of following all these liberal losers, maybe it is time to follow the lead of a winner?

In the weeks after the state's child welfare agency appeared to mishandle a neglect case in Torrington, its hot-line staff turned away at least four other credible reports of neglect and abuse, the state's child advocate has determined.

DIDN'T SOMEBODY ON HERE REPORT THAT THEY CALLED THIS SAME HOTLINE TO REPORT TIM O'BRIEN FOR CARRYING HIS BABY AROUND AT THE POLLS ALL DAY IN THE SWELTERING HEAT AND HUMIDITY ON PRIMARY DAY, AND THEY IGNORED THAT REPORT TOO?
