If we can't get a at least one republican elected here in New Britain for Rep or Senator we should replace Dwight Blint as RTC Chair.

Never has the populace been leaning so hard towards the republicans. We have highlighted all the negative votes and traits of these candidates. If we cannot win at least one of the five seats we should consider a change in leadership at the top of the RTC.

Amen!

I think the R's will win some in New Britain though so it all will be moot.

Are you kidding me? The party has put up some great candidates and I have never seen the RTC so active and energized. It's going to take more than a few months of new leadership to change local voting habit, but I am optimistic.

I agree. We have found GREAT candidates. But I think the overly aggressive negative campaigning is costing us votes that we would otherwise be getting. I hear Dwight is running the campaigns doing the press statements and writing the mail. If so, he IS the problem, and I agree our candidates ARE GREAT!

The voters are strongly leaning towards voting for the Republicans...It appears New Britain will get new representation in Hartford this year.

You heard wrong. Nice try.

Don't blame Dwight Blint. It was years of Paul Carver's lousy leadership that put us in this situation. Once he got his job and his wife's BIG job and saw to it that his kids were being highlighted for minimal gains, he left the position to Dwight to pick up the mess.

We need to work together. I do not see this happening when it should be, more than ever this year.

Frankly, I don't see the point in pointing fingers and blame at anyone. I know first hand that Dwight and Jamie are making strides in leading the NBRTC, but to expect them to turn around and win elections as if it were a magic trick. We are working hard to motivate the public, but it will definitely take time.

While all these comments are excellent ones, not one alluded to the CPOA meeting held on Thursday. CPOA is a non-political association. Perhaps CPOA president Mike Wanik can update the public on it's purpose.
