Malloy has vowed that if he is elected, he will spare Hayes and Komisarjefsky from the death penalty.

Do you need any other reason to vote for Tom Foley?

I am a state employee and a union member (only because I am forced to belong to a union by Connecticut's socialist law that mandates all state employees must whether they want to or not--like a prison sentence) and I am proud to be voting for Tom Foley for Governor!

Many of my co-workers agree with me that we are fed up with the radicals that run our union taking our money against our will and using it to support candidates that we don't agree with like this socialist they are supporting for governor.

The more my union pushes for Democrats, the happier I am about voting for every Republican on the ticket. I have spoken to other state employees who do the same because they too are tired of their union pushing these Democrats we don't like on us.

I hope Tom Foley wins, and then I hope he can find a way to stop forcing his employees to pay dues to a union that we do not agree with. I would be the first to quit the union if that happens.

President Obama said he is for ending tenure for teachers and holding teachers accountable for their performance, and firing those who don't produce no matter how long they have been teachers.

I wonder if Governor Foley would agree with Obama regarding eliminating tenure for teachers?

Texas seems to be using the death penalty efficiently. They are up to 37 executions this year and none of them were crimes that were committed more than 10 years ago. They average 6 to 8 years from date of crime to execution, so maybe we should be following their plan?

I was watching on TV yesterday, and they were saying that Obama and the Governor's from the bankrupt states should be bowing at the feet of Rick Perry for him to show them how to properly run a state, and Connecticut was on that list.

Texas has a $9 billion surplus this year without any state income taxes or business taxes. Not only can't we pay are bills, are we billions in debt, but our bonds have been devalued to junk on Wall Street thanks to the Democrats in our legislature.

There is no other conclusion you can make other than the liberals are destroying our state, otherwise, how can you explain the huge success of Texas which is free of the liberals, unions, and Democrats for that matter.

UNION THUGS WILL BE TURNING OUT IN FORCE TO PUSH FOR MALLOY BECAUSE THEY EXPECT HIM TO BE A RUBBER STAMP FOR ALL THE LAVISH BENEFITS THE DEMOCRATS IN THE LEGISLATURE WANT TO GIVE THEM. WITH THE DEMOCRATS CONTROLLING THE LEGISLATURE, AND MALLOW TO RUBBER STAMP EVERYTHING, IT WILL TURN INTO A FREE RIDE FOR UNIONS:

Malloy has received major support from unions in the race against Republican Tom Foley of Greenwich and Independent Party candidate Thomas E. Marsh of Chester. Foley says that Malloy is "in the pocket'' of the unions and will have difficulty closing the state budget gap because of his support for the unions.

Frank: I am not sure why the commenter above chose to put his comment on this subject but I feel the same way.
I retired from teaching in CT a little over ten years ago. We didn't have the AFT in the town where I taught but we an an "association." Also the NEA and the CEA were the national and state "associations." Even though the three organizations were "non AFT" affiliates they were de facto unions.

We were forced to be members of all three associations. I balked at that because the national, state and local associations were all controlled by liberal Democrats who supported liberal candidates for state and national office. Then when the associations finally affiliated with the AFT, I retired and left teaching. Little has changed except that now you have ACORN, SEIU and the WFP to make things worse.
