Scott Whipple recently wrote an article in the New Britain Herald whereby he said that the Working Families Party helps the Democratic candidates by allowing them to appear on two lines on election day.
Unfortunately, I cannot dismiss the statement made by Bertha Lewis about Mrs. Clinton accepting the WFP endorsement when she was running for the New York State Senate. If I may paraphrase from memory Ms. Lewis’s comments at the time were that she better do what we want when we come knocking on her door and if she doesn’t we will go shopping for a new candidate.
Several of our state candidates announced that they are proud in accepting the WFP endorsement such as Murphy, Tercyak, Malloy, Blumenthal and O’Brien. Senator Donald DeFronzo even claims that the WFP fights everyday for the average families.
Giving two bites at the apple is totally unfair for the conservative candidates since the WFP supports only those who agree with their socialistic views, as the people here in New Britain experienced in our last local elections, with the WFP endorsing the liberal Democratic candidates.
I respect Mr. Whipple’s attempt to state that the leaders of the WFP evaluate the track records of each candidate they endorse but, I find that they only endorse those who have a liberal and socialistic record.

I should point out that it's strange that a party with only 130 registered party members in this state has such power. We know where the money comes from, and who they really are. It's to bad others don't.

Hartford based United Technologies Corporation have stated that Connecticut is a high-cost place to do business and will relocate their Cheshire Plant outside the state of Connecticut.
The Machinists Union has no hope...yes they can strike ,.. yes they can walk around with their Union signs. And...yes Pratt can simply lock the Cheshire doors and take the 1,000 Machinists jobs elsewhere (as they want) when the current Court Order expires on December 5, 2010.

In 1909 Cris Carillo's Great-Grandfather opened his first store selling fruit, pasta, ice cream and cigars at 77 Arch Street in New Britain. Cris Carillo's Mother and father worked as teachers in the New Britain School System for over 60 years combined.
Now, as 4th generation resident of the City with roots in the Hardware City, Cris Carillo has followed in both his Father's and Great-Grandparent's steps as a small business owner in New Britain- opening up Keystone Bankcard on Dwight Street in New Britain revenue by providing payment processing services. Mr. Carillo has Economics Degree University of Connecticut.
Who/what is the WFP? Have all the registered members of that party helf private sector jobs? Are all working families party members Democrats? Does the WFP in NB support only Democrats? I believe that the WFP in CT should be investigated fully to determine if they are legally constituted. Is it OK for WFP members to also be members of another party?
All the Democrats running for state office like Malloy and NB's eunuchoid State legislators have said they support transpareny and honesty in government. If anyone believes that they are naive, nuts or just plain dumb.

In pursuit of this goal, WFP runs radical candidates in state and local elections. Generally, WFP candidates conceal their extremism beneath a veneer of populist rhetoric, promoting bread-and-butter issues designed to appeal to union workers and other blue-collar voters
SOUNDS LIKE NEW BRITAIN:
Taking a page from Governor George Wallace, who defied the federal government’s orders to segregate Alabama schools in 1963, the left appears to be seeking secure perches in state houses and county seats across the nation, from which it can safely thumb its nose at the federal government. Such a strategy would enable leftists to radicalize America from the bottom up, siezing power city by city, county by county and state by state, in a relentless, political ground war.
I should point out that it's strange that a party with only 130 registered party members in this state has such power. We know where the money comes from, and who they really are. It's to bad others don't....
I recently asked my Registrar of Voters, and he told me you may not register as a WFP member in my town because it is not a recognized party in my town.
