During the heavy discussions over the contract language regarding the police station contract at last night's council, Alderman Michael Trueworhty attempted to stop the Mayor from making his remarks since he chairs the council meetings; however, the mayor insisted "when the room fills with misdirections, they must be corrected." The Mayor proceeded with his remarks, and rightfully so!

Kudoos to Mayor Stewart for standing his ground! Trueworthy and Sherwood are so out of it!!
Trueworthy and Sherwood should talk. Common Council rules say that no Council member should speak on an issue for more that five minutes. Sherwood and Trueworthy have violated that rule every time I have attended a Council meeting.

NEW BRITAIN — The sum of $2 million on $32 million Police Project was released to Downes Construction Company of New Britain by the Common Council on Wednesday , November 10, 2010 for work on the new Police Headquarters Building being constructed on City property at 121-131 Main Street in down-town New Britain.
The Downes Construction will act as the general contractor on the New Police Station project and award contracts to subcontractors and issue payment to all subcontractors for an amount not to exceed $2 million for excavation and sheeting work, etc.

You got that right!! Trueworthy has gone on aimlessly on subjects for as long as 20-25 minutes at a clip. Sherwood is just as bad. They both talk a lot, but say nothing.
